[Newly Translated Older Death Case] Hebei Man in His 70s Dies Sometime After 2019

Mr. Yang Shoubin, of Langfang City, Hebei Province, went to the Xianghe County Police Department and Municipal Government in early February 2006 to request the release of an arrested practitioner, Mr. Li Dejun. He was arrested and given two years of forced labor two months later. His son, who went with him in seeking Mr. Li’s release, was also taken into custody and held at a brainwashing center for more than one month.

Mr. Yang was caring for a patient at the Dachang County Chinese Medicine Hospital on November 18, 2010 when a group of officers showed up and took him to a brainwashing center.

Four officers harassed Mr. Yang at home in August 2017. Captain Wang Qinhan led two officers to harass him in early March 2019.

At around 6 p.m. on April 26, 2019, instructor Liu Jun from the Chenfu Police Station led officers Fu Haitao and Yang to raid Mr. Yang’s home. They took a few self-adhesive stickers bearing Falun Gong information.

The relentless persecution caused tremendous stress to Mr. Yang, and he ultimately passed away as a result.
