(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Meng Qingjie Faces Trial
2. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Wei Arrested
3. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Detained
4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Shuxiang and Wen Jihong Detained
1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Meng Qingjie Faces Trial
Ms. Meng Qingjie’s case reached the Dadong District Court on January 2, 2025. Zhang Jutao, chief judge of criminal division, is in charge of the case.
2. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Wei Arrested
Wei of the Xinjian District, first name and gender unknown, was arrested on January 6, 2025, after someone called the police to report that Wei was talking to people in the Honggutan area about the persecution of Falun Gong.
3. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Detained
Several practitioners were arrested on December 19, 2024. Three of them, Xiao Jingtang, Liang Xiaozhu, and Yuan Xiuxia, were taken to the Huanggang City Detention Center. Five other, including Liu Wenzhen, Zhang Fengyu, Cheng Gongjian, Tian Yinhua, and Zeng Jinhuan, were released.
4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Shuxiang and Wen Jihong Detained
Ms. Li Shuxiang was arrested at her younger sister’s home by Ha’nan Police Station officers on December 19, 2024. The officers ransacked both sisters’ homes and seized their deck calendars, speakers, and other items. Ms. Li was taken to the Harbin City Second Detention Center that night. She was detained for ten days and released on December 30.
Wen Jihong, gender unknown, was arrested at home on December 19, 2024. Officer Cao Weikang with the Gexin Police Station and a neighborhood clerk deceived Wen into opening the door. They ransacked Wen’s home and seized Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, two printers, three desk computers, a laptop, and other items. Wen was detained for ten days and has been released.
