(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Shanghai] Ms. Jiang Mingzhen Arrested
2. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Shoujun Detained
3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Shuping and Ms. Zhen Xiaoling Arrested
4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Gao Ke Admitted to Tailai Prison
5. [Suizhou City, Hubei Province] Mr. Leng Shunchang and Ms. He Zhuojun Admitted to Prison
1. [Shanghai] Ms. Jiang Mingzhen Arrested
Ms. Jiang Mingzhen of Songjiang District was arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong by eight police officers on the afternoon of January 6, 2025.
2. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Shoujun Detained
Mr. Zhang Shoujun of Qiannihe Viallge, Fengrun District was arrested on December 28, 2024. He was put into the Fengrun District Detention Center.
3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Shuping and Ms. Zhen Xiaoling Arrested
Ms. Zhao Shuping is a resident of Gujiaying Village, Yinchengpu Township, Fengrun District. She was arrested by Wangguanying Town Police Station officers on January 3, 2025, when she was distributing Falun Gong flyers in Wangguanying Town’s Guiyisai Street Market. Because she did not pass the physical exam for detention, she was released the next day. The police continued to harass her over the phone.
Ms. Zheng Xiaoling was arrested at home by three officers from Changchun Road Police Station, accompanied by her community clerks, on January 2, 2025. She was taken to the police station and interrogated. She was taken to Guye District’s Beijiadian Lockup at around 10 p.m. and denied admission due to her poor health. She was then released.
4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Gao Ke Admitted to Tailai Prison
Mr. Gao Ke, 71, is a retired teacher from Daowai District’s Yumin Primary School. He was arrested in Bin County on June 16, 2023, and put into Yaziquan Detention Center. He was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison. He was first held in Hulan Prison’s Training Camp and transferred to Tailai Prison in Qiqihar City months later.
5. [Suizhou City, Hubei Province] Mr. Leng Shunchang and Ms. He Zhuojun Admitted to Prison
Mr. Leng Shunchange was admitted to the Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang County on December 20, 2024. Ms. He Zhuojun was taken to Hubei Province Women’s Prison in Wuhan City on December 26, 2024.
Ms. He, 60, Mr. Leng, 60, Ms. Peng Huayun, 73, and Ms. Gong Taiqing, 68, were arrested by Suizhou City Domestic Security Division officers on August 3, 2023. They were put into Suizhou City Detention Center. The Zengdu District Court sentenced Ms. He and Mr. Leng to 7.5 years in prison with a 10,000-yuan fine, Ms. Peng and Ms. Gong were given two years in prison and fined 3,000 yuan.
