Budapest, Hungary: The Art of Zhen Shan Ren Exhibition Opens in New Gallery

(Minghui.org) The Art of Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance) International Exhibition opened on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at a private gallery in Rákospalota, located in the 15th district of Hungary’s capital, Budapest.

In the recently completed gallery, 28 paintings from the Zhen-Shan-Ren collection are currently on display. Falun Dafa practitioners volunteering as exhibition guides talked to the visitors about the paintings, explaining how the artists, who are all practitioners of Falun Dafa, are returning to the artistic traditions of the Renaissance.

The paintings present the preciousness of practicing Falun Dafa and also show scenes that take place in other dimensions that cannot be seen through the lens of a camera. As such, these paintings offer a unique insight into this spiritual practice. 

The exhibition also has an important mission, which is to draw the world's attention to the human rights tragedy that has been unfolding in China for the past 25 years as a result of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing brutal persecution of Falun Dafa. After the presentation of the paintings, visitors were shown a short film about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution.

Visitors were very moved by the artworks on display and asked many questions. Most had never heard of the persecution ongoing in China. They were shocked and deeply concerned about these atrocities. Many of the participants were also interested in the cultivation practice of Falun Dafa, and were happy to learn that in-depth information about the practice can be found online for free.

Exhibition Gave Craftsman’s Work New Meaning

The craftsman who recently completed the woodwork for the gallery, József, said that he was very happy to be involved in the creation of this gallery. However, now that he has seen the exhibition and these beautiful paintings, he said his work has taken on a whole new light and he is especially pleased to be a part of the gallery. József said that he was deeply moved by the artworks and the presentation by the practitioners. He said he was sure that he would be back with friends to see this special exhibition again.

Comments in Exhibition Guestbook 

One couple who viewed the exhibition was shocked to find out about the persecution. Before leaving they wrote: “The paintings were beautiful and sad at the same time! The short film was very instructive and moving! … It is a shame, but we had no idea what was going on in China, but you opened our eyes! Thank you so much again for tonight.”

Another couple said they had a great time at the event. The husband wrote: “We really enjoyed the event ... I am interested in Falun Dafa and so is my wife, and thanks again for the invitation, it was great.”

“I really liked it, my wife also found it interesting,” wrote another man. “She said you [practitioners] are very nice, the paintings are interesting, they all have a special story.”

After the opening event was over, Dafa practitioners on site sent a New Year’s greeting to Master Li, the founder of Falun Dafa.
