(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Case Against Three Practitioners Submitted to the Court

6. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Yuzhen Harassed
7. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yanjun and Ms. He Yurong Arrested
8. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Xiuqing and Her Son Mr. Guo Zongying Taken to Hospital

1. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Case Against Three Practitioners Submitted to the Court
The case against three practitioners, Ms. Jiang Changxian, Ms. Wu Fangming, and Ms. Yin Qiuyang, was submitted to the Zhijiang County Court by the Zhijiang County Procuratorate.
2. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Mr. Wang Biao Arrested and Detained
Mr. Wang Biao, 39, from Luzhai Town, was reported to police and arrested on November 1, 2023. This is the fourth time he has been arrested. His home was ransacked, and the police confiscated his Falun Gong books, truth clarifying materials, computer, printer, money imprinted with Falun Gong facts, etc. Mr. Wang was detained in the Linquan County Detention Center for more than five months.
3. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Li Fenyu and Ms. Chen Dongmei Detained in a Brainwashing Center
Ms. Li Fenyu and Ms. Chen Dongmei, both 67, were reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong, and were arrested by officers from the Qingshanhu District Police Department at noon on April 3, 2024. They are currently being detained in a brainwashing center.
Ms. Li and Ms. Chen have been persecuted multiple times before, including on February 22, 2023. They were arrested by officers from the Qingyunpu District Police Department and were held for five days in a detention house.
4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Han Wei and His Family Members Persecuted
Mr. Han Wei was arrested in Jidong Town of Jidong County in Heilongjiang Province by officers from the Nantong City Police Department of Jiangsu Province on April 1, 2024.
Before his arrest, Mr. Han Chao, who is Mr. Han Wei’s older brother and a non-practitioner, was arrested at home along with his wife by police from Nantong City in March 2024. His wife had a heart attack and was taken to a hospital. Mr. Han Chao was detained in the Nantong City Police Department. The police stayed in Jidong Town and tracked their cell phone location, which resulted in Mr. Han Wei’s arrest.
5. [Chongqing] Ms. Gu Quanrong Detained
Ms. Gu Quanrong was taken to the Jiangjin District Detention Center.
6. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Yuzhen Harassed
Ms. Sun Yuzhen, a retiree from the Shengli Oilfield Gathering and Transportation Company, nearly 80, was harassed at home by four officers from the Ketong Police Station at 9:30 a.m. on November 29, 2023. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, four cell phones, and four small speakers. Ms. Sun was upset and had chest pain.
Three officers from Huanghe Road Police Station went to Ms. Sun’s home on February 28, 2024. Ms. Sun had injured her lower back, and was lying on the bed. They pressured her to sign some paperwork, which she refused.
7. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yanjun and Ms. He Yurong Arrested
Ms. He Yurong, over 80, and Ms. Wang Yanjun, both from Huailai County, were arrested by officers from the Xiaonanxinbao Police Station when they had just arrived at Guo Rong’s home on the morning of March 27, 2024. The two practitioners were taken to the Dahuangzhuang Detention Center in Huailai County. They were denied admission due to their health, and were released later that day.
8. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Xiuqing and Her Son Mr. Guo Zongying Taken to Hospital
Ms. Zhao Xiuqing, 78, and her son Mr. Guo Zongying, 44, were taken to the emergency room in the No. 1 Affiliated Hospital of Jiamusi City at around 6 p.m. on March 24, 2024. Ms. Zhao suffered a cerebral hemorrhage (stroke) and her son fell from the fourth floor of their apartment building. The police ransacked her home and confiscated their Falun Gong books and photo of Falun Gong’s founder.
9. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Ms. Wang Chunli and Ms. Sun Shuhua received harassing phone calls from Yuantai Brigade officials in Yuantai Town on April 1, 2024. They were pressured to sign guarantee statements.
Ms. Liu Jing received a harassing call from the Shabao Police Station on April 3, 2024 and was told to go to the police station to sign a guarantee statement.
10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Qin Xiujuan Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Qin Xiujuan, 68, from the Hongshan District, was sentenced to three years and four months in prison and fined 4000 yuan by the Hanyang District Court, for posting posters in subway stations containing the words, “Falun Dafa is Good, Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance is Good!” Her lawyer defended her innocence. She appealed to the Wuhan City Intermediate Court.
Ms. Qin was sentenced to three and a half years in prison by the Qingshan District Court in 2012.
