(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Chunhua and Ms. Wang Guifang Arrested and Detained
2. [Chongqing] Mr. Zhao Rongjun Arrested and Detained
3. [Wulian County, Shandong Province] Mr. Ding Yuande Imprisoned
4. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Hu Xuefang Arrested
5. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
6. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested and Detained
7. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
1. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Chunhua and Ms. Wang Guifang Arrested and Detained
Ms. Wang Chunhua and Ms. Wang Guifang were arrested by officers from the Qiaodong Development Zone Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong outside on the morning of March 15, 2024. Their homes were ransacked, and they were held for 15 days in the Dandong City Detention House.
On March 30, 2024, the last day of their 15-day detention, the police took them to undergo physical examinations in order to have the detention center admit them. Ms. Wang Chunhua was found to have breast cancer. She was placed under residential surveillance and was released that evening. Ms. Wang Guifang was taken to the detention center.
2. [Chongqing] Mr. Zhao Rongjun Arrested and Detained
Mr. Zhao Rongjun is a retiree from No. 44 Institute in Nan’an District. He was intercepted in the Chongqing West Train Station when he entered it on November 22, 2023. He was found to have more than 100 Falun Gong-related materials. He was arrested and taken to the Chayuan New District Detention Center. His current situation is unknown.
3. [Wulian County, Shandong Province] Mr. Ding Yuande Imprisoned
Mr. Ding Yuande was transferred from the Rizhao City Detention Center to the Shandong Province Prison on March 20, 2024.
4. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Hu Xuefang Arrested
Ms. Hu Xuefang, around 50 years old, from Huangchuan County, was arrested at home by officers from the Huangchuan County Domestic Security Division on March 15, 2024.
5. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Three practitioners from Yuguan Town, including Ms. Du Lijuan and Ms. Xiaohui, were arrested by officers from the Yuguan Town Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong in Yuguan Market on February 13, 2024. They were taken to the Qinhuangdao City Detention House. Ms. Du Lijuan was transferred to the detention center on March 28, 2024.
6. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested and Detained
Ms. Li Chunhong, Ms. Wang Hongling, and Ms. Liu Meiping were arrested for distributing truth clarifying materials at the Bolinzhuang Market on March 14, 2024. They were held there until March 31, 2024.
7. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Four practitioners from Shuangliu District, including Ms. Tang Xingxiu, Ms. Meng Ling, Ms. Jia Xingrong, and Ms. Li Caiqiong, were arrested when they distributed information about Falun Gong in Chongzhou City on March 18, 2024, and their homes were ransacked. Ms. Tang Xingxiu and Ms. Li Caiqiong were taken to the Pidu District Detention Center. The other two practitioners’ situations are unknown.
