(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Four Practitioners Face Trial
2. [Chongqing] Mr. Zou Bin Tried
3. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Yan Tried
4. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Ruhong Sentenced to Four Year in Prison
5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Ruilian and Ms. Gao Yu’e Detained
6. [Shanghai] Mr. Huang Haitao Tried
7. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Cui Hongyi’s Home Ransacked
8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Guozhi and His Son Mr. Zhang Yue Arrested
1. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Four Practitioners Face Trial
Four Kunming City practitioners, Mr. Ou Xuehui, Ms. Zhou Xulin, Ms. Yao Zhuming, and another practitioner, name and gender unknown, were arrested in the Jinning District on August 13, 2024. Ms. Zhou was released on bail. The others are held in the Kunming City Detention Center. Their cases were submitted to the Xishan District Procuratorate, and they are now facing trial in the Xishan District Court.
2. [Chongqing] Mr. Zou Bin Tried
Mr. Zou Bin of the Nan’an District was arrested in May 2024 by Nanping Town’s Huayuan Road Police Station officers. His trial was held in the Jiulongpo District Court on the morning of December 19, 2024.
3. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Yan Tried
Ms. Chen Yan was tried in the Xihu District Court on the morning of December 20, 2024.
4. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Ruhong Sentenced to Four Year in Prison
Ms. Huang Ruhong, 65, from Shenzhen City was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 5,000 yuan by the Zhuhai District Court in Guangzhou City on October 29, 2024. She has appealed with the Guangzhou City Intermediate Court.
Ms. Huang was arrested on September 19, 2023, by officers from the Panyu District Police Department and Nancun Police Station in Guangzhou. She has since been held in in Panyu District Detention Center.
5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Ruilian and Ms. Gao Yu’e Detained
Ms. Sun Ruilian of Chenggezhuang Village and her mother, Ms. Gao Yu’e, were arrested while they were talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in the Shangma Street Market around August 27, 2024. They were taken to a police station and released shortly after.
Officer Xu Yuangang and others with the Chengyang District Police Department later fabricated evidence against them, resulting in Ms. Sun being detained for 15 days and Ms. Gao for two days.
6. [Shanghai] Mr. Huang Haitao Tried
Mr. Huang Haitao from the Pudong District was tried in the Fengxian Court on December 23, 2024.
7. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Cui Hongyi’s Home Ransacked
Mr. Cui Hongyi’s home was ransacked by officers from the Yixi Police Department on the morning of December 14, 2024, while he was out. The officers seized Falun Gong books, a portable radio, two flash drives, and other items.
8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Guozhi and His Son Mr. Zhang Yue Arrested
Mr. Zhang Guozhi and his son, Mr. Zhang Yue, in his 30s, were arrested when they were distributing Falun Gong flyers on July 15, 2024. Mr. Zhang Guozhi is being held in the Weizigou Detention Center. Mr. Zhang Yue’s situation isn’t clear.
