(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 5 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Yufen Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

4. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Huang Xiaofen and Ms. Gu Zhifang Arrested

1. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Yufen Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

Ms. Sun Yufen was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2022.

2. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Chen Yunyong Arrested

Mr. Chen Yunyong from Cuijiayu was reported to the police for distributing desktop calendars with information about Falun Gong in Mentou Village. He was arrested on December 2, 2022, and later released. The police ransacked his home a few days later when Mr. Chen was not there. They confiscated his Falun Gong books, two boxes of calendars, a computer, and an e-bike. Mr. Chen has left home to avoid further persecution.

3. [Beijing] Mr. Pan Qin Under Residential Surveillance

People from the Babaoshan Community in the Shijingshan District went to Mr. Pan Qin’s home on January 13, 2023. They claimed that Mr. Pan would be followed by two community security guards during the Chinese New Year holiday next year starting on January 15, 2023, to prevent him from talking to people about Falun Gong.

4. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Huang Xiaofen and Ms. Gu Zhifang Arrested

Ms. Huang Xiaofen and Ms. Gu Zhifang were arrested on July 20, 2022. Ms. Huang was released in August 2022 and Ms. Gu was released shortly after.
