I Find the Dafa That Several Generations of My Family Sought

(Minghui.org) When my father passed away in 1963, I was 11 years old. I remember when my father was alive, he and my uncles and grandfathers often spoke about an ancient book that foretold a Buddha descending from Heaven to save people. They agreed that whoever found the Buddha first would tell the others and that it would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that couldn’t be missed.

It is a pity that all of them passed away before Master Li, Falun Dafa’s founder, spread the practice. But many of their descendants have taken up cultivation in Dafa.

My father was well-educated, believed in Buddhism, and was very devout. He traveled to the famous mountains and temples. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes religious people. My father was once imprisoned and tortured; he suffered a lot in his life, but he never wavered in his belief in seeking the true Fa. In his later years, he realized that Master had come to the world, but he was regretful that he could not see Master. He made a vow to practice Dafa in his next life and told me to find Master.

My father-in-law said, “This is an agreement between me and your father when he was alive. Don’t miss the opportunity when Master comes.”

Starting to Practice Dafa

In July 1999, we read Zhuan Falun. The founder of Falun Dafa, Master Li, is the one our family sought for generations. Several of us started to practice Dafa together.

Master said that all sentient beings were once his relatives, and all sentient beings came to the world for Dafa. Master does not stay in the mountains or temples so as to give every person in the world an opportunity to learn Dafa and be saved. I vowed to tell everyone that the long-awaited master is here and that what he teaches is the fundamental law of the universe.

My wife is careful to always behave according to Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and said to her enemy, “Falun Dafa taught me how to be a good person. I hurt you before. I’m sorry!” The other person was moved to tears. After practicing for a short time, she changed radically—her heart disease, liver issue, arthritis, and many other ailments were gone. Before that, she was a member of the CCP and an atheist. She completely changed her outlook on life and the world, and her family witnessed the extraordinary and miraculous nature of Dafa.

My wife and I actively spread Dafa; we went to various villages to play the video of Master’s lectures and taught people how to do Falun Dafa’s five exercises. Many started to practice it. We set up several practice sites. By studying the Fa and practicing the exercises, everyone cultivated their xinxing, and they became illness-free. They respected the elderly at home. Good people and kind deeds emerged one after another. One villager said to those who were fighting, angry, and sick, “You can practice Falun Dafa or learn from those people who practice Falun Dafa. If everyone practices Falun Dafa, society will be better.”

Falun Dafa took root deeply in these people. It was passed on from person to person, and many people soon began to practice it.

Raising Awareness of the CCP’s Persecution

When every village wanted to set up practice sites in 1999, CCP head Jiang Zemin began to persecute Falun Dafa by slandering the practice and its adherents. My wife and I stepped forward to speak for Dafa without hesitation, telling people that Falun Dafa is righteous, Master is innocent, and that Dafa saves people. We told people not to listen to the CCP’s lies.

I was illegally detained several times for a total of 130 days. My wife was also detained several times for a total of 90 days. My wife and I went to Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Dafa and were blacklisted. Once, when my wife clarified the truth, she was reported to the authorities. The police seized her, hung her up, and froze her in a room without doors and windows for two days in the cold winter. She was released ten days later.

Over the years, we have clarified the truth wherever we go, telling people who were misled by the CCP about the law of heaven that good will be rewarded and evil will meet with retribution. Below are two examples.

The secretary of the CCP committee in my village believed the Party’s rumors and propaganda and cooperated with it to persecute Dafa practitioners. Shortly after, he got a strange ailment: all his fingertips hurt every day. I went to clarify the truth to him, and when he learned that Dafa is good, he quit his CCP membership and vowed to make up for his mistakes. He put on an amulet, and his condition quickly improved. Several times the police wanted to arrest me and persecute me, but he prevented them, saying, “All those who practice Falun Dafa are good people, so don’t arrest them anymore.”

After hearing me talk about the truth of Falun Dafa, the village director understood. He said he would no longer cooperate with the Party to persecute good people, and he supported Dafa and quit the CCP.

I was detained twice, and the village director went to demand my release. Once when someone reported me for distributing truth-clarification materials, the police wanted to search my house, but he stopped them. Later, he was blessed. He had a stroke, but he fully recovered with no side effects. After he retired, he found a very easy job, and the boss paid him well. At the age of 70, four generations of his family lived under the same roof, and their lives were very comfortable.

However, many people across the country are misled by the CCP’s lies, such as the head of our police substation and the director of the county’s 610 Office. They destroyed Dafa books, sentenced practitioners to prison, and sent them to forced labor camps or brainwashing centers. The head of the police substation got cancer and died in his early 50s. The former director of the county’s 610 Office was promoted to be a member of the Standing Committee of the CCP committee of the county, but before he could retire, he became terminally ill and died.

Over the past eight years, I have clarified the truth face-to-face with several fellow practitioners to save people. A fellow practitioner with a car drove us to a market 30 miles away, where we clarified the truth to persuade people to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. There were many people who knew the truth and quit the CCP. When we went there, people greeted us as if we were their relatives and friends and asked for different truth-clarification materials. Once, a person who didn’t know the true situation wanted to report us. Several people stood up and scolded him, telling him that Dafa disciples are good people and they are doing good deeds. So they stopped him from reporting us.

More and more people all over the world know the truth, including the police. Once, several police officers went to the market and told a practitioner, “Someone has reported you. You should leave.” Another time, a deputy director found a fellow practitioner, asked for some truth-clarification materials, and quit the CCP. He told the practitioner, “Someone reported you two days ago, but I didn’t let the police come. Be careful.”

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology, and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
