Indonesia: Falun Dafa Practitioners Peacefully Appeal for the Persecution in China to End

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Indonesia held peaceful protests in front of the Chinese embassies in Jakarta and Surabaya in the afternoon of July 23, 2022. They called for an end to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners, which has gone on for 23 years.

The director of the Indonesian Falun Dafa Association, Mr. Gatot Machali, said that the CCP’s genocidal crimes against Falun Dafa must stop immediately.

Practitioners in Indonesia told people about Falun Dafa on July 23 and collected signatures on a petition calling for an end to the persecution.

The rain in Jakarta that day did not deter practitioners from informing people about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa and showing their support for the practitioners who are still being persecuted in China.

Mr. Gatot Machali, the director of the Indonesian Falun Dafa Association, said in his speech that Falun Dafa improves people’s moral standards, ethics, and health. The CCP’s genocidal criminal actions against Falun Dafa practitioners, which have continued for 23 years, must stop immediately. He hoped that the people in Indonesia would recognize and reject the CCP and support the righteous and compassionate Falun Dafa practitioners.

Peaceful Appeal in Surabaya

Practitioners also gathered in front of the Chinese embassy in Surabaya on July 23 to peacefully appeal for an end to the persecution in China. They held banners that read, “Falun Dafa Is Good” and “Stop the Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners Which Has Been Going on for 23 Years.” They displayed the goodness of Falun Dafa and raised awareness of the CCP’s persecution to the people passing in vehicles and pedestrians.

Passersby signed the practitioners’ petition to show their support for an end to the persecution. Many people raised their thumbs or sounded their car horns to show their support.
