Overcoming an Illness Tribulation with a Righteous Thought

(Minghui.org) I am 68 years old and have practiced Falun Dafa for 10 years. Prior to cultivation, I had a heart problem, coupled with chest pain. Since practicing Dafa, all of my illness symptoms went away.

I never went to school, so I am illiterate. When I first opened Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Dafa, I did not recognize one character. With the help from another practitioner, I was able to slowly read the entire book Zhuan Falun. Furthermore, I could also read all of Master Li Hongzhi’s articles. I am grateful to Master for enabling me to read the Fa despite being illiterate.

Soon after I began practicing Falun Dafa, Master opened my third eye. I saw characters glowing with golden light in Zhuan Falun and Falun Dafa pamphlets. I knew Master let me see these miracles as encouragement.

Last November I came down with back pain and one day while hanging up laundry the pain became unbearable. I could not walk. My children urged me to go to the hospital. At that time, my son’s father-in-law was in the hospital. I thought, “How would I tell him about the goodness of Falun Dafa if I am in the hospital in this condition?” I said to my son: “I will stay home.”

I remembered Master’s teaching:

“The more the junior monk suffers, the easier it is for him to achieve the Unlocking of Gong. The more comfortable the senior monks’ lives are, the harder it is for them to reach the state of Unlocking Gong since there is the issue of transforming karma. The junior monk is always suffering and tired. He will repay his karma and become enlightened more quickly. Perhaps one day he achieves the Unlocking of Gong all of a sudden.” (Lecture Seven, Zhuan Falun)

I began doing the Falun Dafa exercises. I could not continue the second exercise so I held my arms up, holding the wheel while laying down. Suddenly I saw two demons fly out of my body. They were extremely ugly. One had a human form, the other one was repulsive beyond words. My body felt light right away. I turned on my side and fell asleep.

The next morning when I woke up, my body was back to normal. It was as if nothing had happened. As long as our hearts are aligned with the Fa, Master will help us set things right. Our path is laid out by Master, and our future is bright and beautiful!
