Greetings, Revered Master!

Words cannot express my gratitude to Master Li (the founder of Falun Dafa) or describe the changes that Falun Dafa has brought to me. In Fa-rectification cultivation, I realized that as long as I have the wish to assist Master to save people and meet Dafa’s requirements at my level, Master will arrange everything for me and help me fulfill my vow.

Creating an Information Repository of 610 Office and Government Officials

I have an office job and spend most of the time on the computer. While helping local practitioners mail letters or make phone calls to law enforcement agencies, procuratorates, courts, and other government agencies, I gained some experience in searching local government websites and collecting employees’ information.

For example, when we go to the official website of a province or a city, it usually lists the main officials for each department. I then download their information, including their resume, work experience, and then use it when we need to expose their persecution of Falun Dafa.

There are multiple sources we can use to search for information about judges and prosecutors. The local People’s Congress websites usually have the judges’ and prosecutors’ appointment information. The court and procuratorate websites also list their information. Some procuratorates list all of their staff members and their phone numbers. On the website “Information Open for China Trial Process,” there is information about judges, but it may not be updated, so we need to search each judge’s name on Google or Baidu (China’s search engine) to verify.

When providing details of each perpetrator’s involvement in the persecution, we want to list that person’s work experience. We can search Google and Baidu. The higher the position of the perpetrator, the easier to find their information. For those officials who are under investigation by the Chinese government, the disciplinary organization’s website usually lists their resumes during the investigation, but remove such information after the punishment is announced.

Police officers’ information is a bit harder to find online. I have to try different key words in order to find information about them. Another way to collect information about the police is to look at local media reports, as it sometimes highlights the officials’ “achievements” in the persecution. The same is true for various agencies’ annual work reports, including the procuratorate, courts, police, and the Political and Legal Affairs Committee (PLAC), as it also captures what they have done in the persecution.

While searching for this information, I often feel that Master is with me and offers help when I need it. Sometimes when I do a key word search, I will get the correct result page that gives me the information right away.

I had a wish in 2007 to get a phone book of local government officials. Then I got one shortly after. I asked two practitioners to help take pictures of each page. We next used a software program to convert the images to text. I then double-checked the phone numbers one by one. Thus, we created a 5,000-person phone list. The official phone book is revised every five years. I have always managed to receive a copy, so that I can update our phone list.

I shared with a few practitioners on how to get more information, including the phone numbers of township and county officials. We asked Master to help us and then sent forth righteous thoughts. Shortly after, a practitioner who works in the government got such a phone book. It contained contact information of all the government offices, institutions, companies, counties and towns in the region. It even listed the phone number of the head of each local police station. That practitioner spent the entire night printing out the information.

Another practitioner didn’t dare to step forward to clarify the truth for fear of the persecution. But she had access to some internal government information. I asked for her help to gather the mobile phone numbers of officials, county, and town officials. She was happy to do it. Shortly, she gave me the first batch of phone numbers that we couldn’t find online. I realized our compassionate Master gave this practitioner an opportunity to establish mighty virtue.

All the information we gathered has helped fellow practitioners to clarify the truth to the perpetrators and expose the persecution in time.

Exposing the Persecution in Brainwashing Centers

The provincial 610 Office organized a campaign from 2010 to 2012, in an attempt to force all local practitioners to renounce Falun Gong. Brainwashing centers were set up across the province. A few dozen practitioners in our city were arrested and taken to a brainwashing center.

I created a database of PLAC secretaries, 610 Office directors and deputies, and police chiefs. I listed their names, age, tenure, and their involvement in the persecution of Falun Gong. After we submitted the information to the Minghui website for publication, we then created flyers and text messages with the Minghui article link and sent it to the officials.

The 610 Office director in our city brought up this Minghui article when talking to a local practitioner later on. He claimed that he only used “mild” methods to deal with the practitioners and he didn’t torture them. Obviously, they paid attention to Minghui reports and were concerned about the list.

That director was no longer seen or heard in the brainwashing center afterward. Several years later, we found that he was still working for the government, but no longer involved in the persecution. He became a county executive, and later, Party secretary of that county.

To dissolve the brainwashing center in our city, we sent forth righteous thoughts intensively. Practitioners locked in the brainwashing center also kept clarifying the truth to the staff members. Eventually this brainwashing center was closed.

Rescuing Fellow Practitioners

After an elderly female practitioner was arrested and sentenced in 2014, I worked with local practitioners to rescue her. I gathered information of local PLAC secretaries, 610 Office directors, and police chiefs from 1999 to 2014, and listed the names of practitioners sentenced during the perpetrators’ tenures.

We also submitted this information to the Minghui website for publication. With our persistent efforts, this elderly practitioner was released to serve the prison term at home.

I was surprised to find that the domestic security office director was responsible for most sentencing cases. I used to have a positive view of him as he had once done something in our favor. After we exposed the persecution, he was transferred to another office and later left the police system.

Clarifying the Truth to Officials in the Judicial System and Other Government Agencies

A practitioner from our area was tortured to death in another province in 2013. His family hired an attorney to investigate his death. We thought this was a good opportunity to clarify the truth about the persecution to people in the prison system, judicial system, and PLAC system.

We needed a phone book of the prison system. Soon we obtained a phone book of all prisons in the other province.

I also found that many cities published the phone numbers of its department directors on the governments’ websites. I collected information on the officials in the judicial system and the government of that province and spent a few weeks sorting out the list.

I gave the list of several thousand people and their phone numbers to practitioners in several regions, asking for their help to mail letters or make phone calls. We also gave the list to Minghui for overseas practitioners to make phone calls, too.

We mailed many a letter regarding the death case of the practitioner. Minghui’s podcast covered the case and we shared the podcast with other people as well.

An Internet Card

Master said,

“You all know that in validating the Fa the situation does change, and that is inevitable. There is definitely a difference between this time when Master is doing Fa-rectification and the time before Master did Fa-rectification. With anything, before and after it’s done, and even during the process of it being done, things gradually change. And when something covers a large scope, it involves changes in the situation.” (“Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference,” Collected Teachings Given Around the World Volume VII)

Minghui published a notice in 2019 calling for practitioners to collect evildoers’ information. The information that I gathered before was a good fit. Of course, there was quite a bit more information that we needed to gather.

Some practitioners shared that we needed to quickly gather the information before the evil removed it from their websites. To do a large scale information gathering, it was better to use a tool that hid our identities.

A fellow practitioner got a spare computer and reformatted it for me to use. Another practitioner found an Internet card that wouldn’t need my information to register. We put it onto the computer and were able to access the Internet without using my own Wi-Fi network.

There was another advantage of the Internet card. We practitioners usually set up our computers on virtual machines and then used anti-Internet blockade software to access the overseas websites. At that time, that configuration would not open certain Chinese websites, including some official local government sites. But with the spare computer, I was able to visit those sites.

A fellow practitioner from a neighboring province said they were blocked from accessing official government sites, especially those pertaining to provincial law enforcement and the PLAC system. But since I could, I gathered the information for them.

That practitioner also said that the police monitored and interfered with their efforts. I felt a bit chilly. I told myself that I needed to be careful and stored the information in a secure place to avoid being found by the police.

Right after that thought, the USB drive that I copied data into slowed down to a near halt. I looked within and found that my thought was wrong. I did the work to save people and thus I should not be persecuted. My heart was lightened and the USB drive resumed its speed.

From then on, I would often remind myself that what I was doing was a good thing – saving people; and my work was done smoothly.

I spent three days searching and collecting data. I worked through the whole night on the last day and didn’t feel tired at all. Two birds came to my window chirping the next morning, as if to report good news to me. I was happy.

I split the neighboring province’s information into a few dozen packages and tried to email them to practitioners in that province. The data was large and I did it in the morning when the network speed was fast. When the file upload slowed down, I sent forth righteous thoughts to clear the interference. All packages went through.

Later, the neighboring province’s practitioner reminded me that using the virtual machine-based computer was safer. I discussed this with our technical support practitioner and we felt we should pay more attention to security, as the evildoers might try to interfere with our work. Since then, I started to use a virtual machine and Wujie anti-blockade software, which allowed me to open the Chinese websites.

In the meantime, the police arrested many practitioners. We realized that this was because the evil forces saw their ending – being cleansed – so they tried to interfere with our efforts. We continued to collect information about the perpetrators. For safety, we switched to a low-profile approach. I was the main person to gather data while others would support me.

To help rescue arrested practitioners, I picked a few perpetrators, including the 610 Office director, domestic security chief, and a few prosecutors and judges who actively took part in the persecution. Whenever a practitioner was detained, I exposed the police. When the cases were moved to the procuratorate, I exposed the prosecutors. When practitioners were tried, I exposed the judges.

A deputy party secretary of a large city’s PLAC was quite ruthless to practitioners. I went through every Minghui report about him. I compiled his resume and listed the persecution that he participated in when he was a city police chief, city PLAC head, and a large city’s deputy PLAC boss.

Recently, many police officers, prosecutors, and judges in our city were taken down during the CCP’s internal cleansing. The main officials were all replaced. We exposed the incumbents’ wrongdoings on the Minghui website right after they were taken out. Later we edited those Minghui articles into a local truth-clarification package and distributed it to the public as well as those working in the law enforcement system, to save them.

Gathering Grassroots Level Staff Information for Mailings

In early 2020, some practitioners saw a local community election list, with the candidates’ names and phone numbers. This inspired us to gather information about grassroots-level government workers.

I searched and found all of the residential committees, in both our city and towns. Then we divided them among a few practitioners to gather information on the staff members of each committee. I integrated the final list. Practitioners then called the committee members if we had their phone numbers; otherwise we mailed them a truth-clarification package.

At that time, the CCP was carrying out its “zero-out” campaign against Falun Gong practitioners (contacting every practitioner on a government blacklist to force them to renounce Falun Dafa). We called or mailed the truth-clarification package to almost all staff members of residential committees, local police stations, and PLAC members, to advise them not to participate in the “zero-out” campaign and stop persecuting or harassing practitioners.

I also found the announcement for “Excellent Teachers,” “Excellent Staff in Assisting Poor Families,” “Excellent Police Officers,” and “Excellent Law Enforcement Officers” on the Internet. Many of them had participated in the persecution, but their information wasn’t easy to find. I gathered their contact information to mail them truth-clarication packages.

Conclusion

I used to take a low profile in the information collection work. For security concern, I didn’t share much on Minghui, either. But a few days ago, the phrase “Gather information to save all beings” showed up in my mind. I realized that we should share our methods among ourselves, so that more and more people can join the effort in gathering the evildoers’ information.

Therefore I wrote my experiences and hope that others will share their experiences as well. Hope this can be helpful to those who have a need in collecting information.

With a firm faith in Master, we had the courage to come down to the human world to assimilate to Dafa and save sentient beings. Master has arranged everything for us. As long as we have the desire to fulfill our vows, Master will arrange the opportunity for us to save people. Only by being more diligent can we be worthy of Master’s benevolent salvation!

Thank you, Great and Compassionate Master!
