(Minghui.org) I’m 69 years old. Because my father was disabled, and there were several siblings in my family, we were too poor to pay for me to go to school. I started working when I was 11 years old, and the work was hard and tiring. After I got married, I had uremia at age 29. My entire body was swollen, and my legs turned black. Afterwards I couldn’t stand or walk. At that time, I lived in Northeast China with my husband, and our child was only six months old. We spent all our money on my medical treatment. There was no food at home, and we had to borrow food and money to survive.
Seeing my illness worsen day by day, with no signs of improvement, my family couldn’t do anything more and decided to carry me, half-dead, on a stretcher, to my hometown in Shandong Province. My family decided that if I died on the way home, they would bury me where I died. Fortunately, I made it to my hometown alive. My family held a silver lining of hope and tried to borrow money from friends and relatives for my medical treatment. In the end, no one would lend us any money or food. We were desperate. We struggled with poverty and disease for a decade.
Miracle Occurs Ten Days After Learning Falun Dafa
My kind neighbor introduced me to Falun Dafa on the first day of the Chinese New Year in 1997. I thus started cultivating. My life fundamentally changed from then on. A miracle occurred just ten days after I began cultivation... all the symptoms of my illnesses disappeared. I could not imagine it even in a dream.
After more than 20 years of cultivation, my body has returned to a youthful state. I have endless strength when working. I’m almost 70 years old, and I still manage about 2.5 acres of orchard with my husband. I’m grateful to Master and Dafa from the bottom of my heart. I experienced and witnessed the miraculous and extraordinary power of Dafa.
The even more inconceivable thing is that through cultivation, Master opened up my wisdom, so that an illiterate person like me could read Dafa books. At first, when everyone read the Fa, I could only follow along with the group, being one character behind. Soon after, I was able to catch up. I’m now able to read more than 50 Dafa books.
Dafa Protected Me in Times of Danger
I was able to work with my husband in the field soon after I obtained the Fa. One day we went to a market together. I sat on top of the goods in the back of our motorized tricycle. When the tricycle made a sharp turn, I was thrown off the tricycle, as our speed was too fast. My husband was not aware this happened and continued driving. I fainted after falling from the tricycle. A passer-by caught up with my husband and told him about my situation. I was still passed out when he drove back. Passers-by suggested taking me to a hospital. My husband is also a Dafa practitioner, and he told them that I would be alright. He asked for help and took me back home on the tricycle. About four hours later, I woke up and thought that I would be fine. In Zhuan Falun it says that good or bad comes from one thought. I had only a large swelling on my head, but no pain, and I recovered within a few days.
I clearly remember that I fell from trees three times while picking fruit. One of the worst was falling from a two-meter-high ladder. I lost consciousness at that moment. There was a large cut on my head that was bleeding badly. When I woke up, I still had the same thought: I am going to be okay since I have Dafa’s protection. My sister-in-law saw so much blood that she insisted on taking me to a hospital. I said, “I’ve fallen many times, and nothing bad happened to me, don’t worry, I will be okay.” I fully recovered after seven days of Fa study and practicing the exercises. My family and friends all witnessed how extraordinary Dafa is!
Whenever I faced tribulations during these years, I was able to overcome them with firm faith in Dafa. As long as practitioners think and act righteously, the miraculous and extraordinary nature of Dafa will manifest. There are no words to express my gratitude to Dafa and Master. I can only cultivate Dafa diligently, do well the three things Master asked us to do, save more sentient beings, and repay Master's grace.
