(Minghui.org) A woman in her late 60s has been detained for four and half months for her faith in Falun Gong. During the Chinese New Year especially, her family is very worried about her and longing for her return.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a mind-body practice that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Du Yuhua from Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, was arrested on September 25, 2020, after being seen by a plainclothes officer distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. The police ransacked her and her son’s homes. The next day, Ms. Du was taken to the Zhangjiakou Detention Center. Her family was notified on October 19 that her arrest had been approved.
Ms. Du’s arrest and detention caused tremendous distress to her 72-year-old husband, Mr. Feng. He said Ms. Du has benefitted from practicing Falun Gong so much that many of her ailments, including chronic bronchitis and edema, have disappeared. With good health, she worked hard to take care of the family and treats everyone around her very kindly.
Mr. Feng said without Ms. Du at home during the Chinese New Year, their holiday is ruined. He urges the international community to pay attention to Ms. Du’s case and help rescue her.
