Having a Righteous Mindset

(Minghui.org) Another Falun Dafa practitioner and I went to a market one morning to distribute truth-clarification materials. We sent righteous thoughts while distributing the pamphlets, and everything went well.

But when I returned home at midday, my husband called my son and daughter-in-law over. When we were all together he asked, “Will you continue to practice Falun Dafa?”

My answer was a firm yes. He was extremely angry. “Then we will have to divorce. You choose what you want.”

I replied, “I will absolutely continue to practice Dafa. If you have to divorce me, just go ahead.”

He said, “Okay. I will!”

I then changed my clothes and was ready to go and get the papers drawn up. My daughter in-law asked me, “Are you serious?”

“Of course,” I replied. “He always interferes with my practicing Dafa.”

“You guys can’t divorce today,” my son interjected. “It’s Sunday. They’re all off work.”

My husband was silent for a while. Then he seemed to change his tune. “I don’t care if you practice or not!”

I understood that the evil elements interfering with him were being eliminated. From this incident, I realized that as long as our thoughts are righteous, then all tribulations will be resolved.

I also saw how I was being tested to see if I truly believe in Dafa or not. If I reach a certain level and meet that level’s standard, then those bad elements wont be able to interfere with me.

If I had compromised with my husband and said, “Okay. I will stop practicing Dafa for you,” but I still practiced behind his back, then my cultivation level would not have met the standard for that test. So we should have a righteous mindset to tackle all obstacles.

My husband later told me that community officers would come to our home to ask if I still practiced Dafa. I knew that if I said no, my name would be removed from their backlist and my grandson would not be barred from going to college or enlist in the army. But I also knew that it must be another trap of the old forces, so I said, “Don’t worry. Let me go and talk to them.”

I knew this was the time to clarify the truth to one of the officers. I visited his home and told him about Dafa and how Master Li Hongzhi tells us to be good people.
He said, “The orders are from my boss, not me.”

I told him, “Please don’t get involved in persecuting Dafa practitioners. It’s not good for you.” He said he wouldn’t.

As a Dafa practitioner, we should remind ourselves that we are upright practitioners. We should not allow the old forces to take advantage of our loopholes. We also need to look inward and change our behavior based on the Fa whenever tribulations arise.
