(Minghui.org) Three Jingzhou City, Hubei Province, residents were sentenced to prison on October 12, 2021, for their faith in Falun Gong, a mind-body practice that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
-Mr. Wang Meiqing was sentenced to two years and six months and fined 6,000 yuan.-Mr. Liu Xin’an was sentenced to two years and fined 4,000 yuan.-Ms. Deng Yongmei was sentenced to six months and fined 2,000 yuan.
The three practitioners were arrested on April 15, 2021, after being reported for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. A fourth practitioner, Ms. Qiu Yunfeng, was arrested with them but was later released and cleared of charges.
The Dangyang City Procuratorate approved the three arrests in late June and moved their cases to the Dangyang City Court two months later.
Having already served six months—the length of the term she was handed after she was convicted—Ms. Deng has been released.
