“This persecution is intolerable and underhanded. We must censure this loudly and start doing something,” commented one passerby. Another noted, “People shut their eyes and hope to live comfortably in their own small circle. We are all in this together. We should look around—people should try their best to lend a helping hand. Even if it is a small act, a tiny step can bring huge results.”
Twenty-six elected officials, including 24 members of the Swedish parliament, issued a joint statement on the 21st anniversary of the practitioners’ efforts against the persecution in support of Falun Gong and condemning the unprecedented brutality.
As a result of the stay-at-home order during the coronavirus pandemic, people seem to be more interested in learning the Falun Dafa exercises. When the British government loosened the social distancing policy, Falun Dafa practitioners in Cornwall resumed their outdoor activities. Passersby took information about the practice, asked about the persecution in China, and learned the exercises.
The Tian Guo Marching Band kicked off the rally on Place D’Youville, where many passersby signed a petition protesting the persecution of Falun Gong in China. One person declared, “The CCP is no friend. It persecutes religious groups for no reason.”
Falun Dafa practitioners in Finland did the exercises as a group in Hesperia Park in Helsinki on August 20, 2020. The calm music and gentle movements drew much attention from passersby.
