Ms. Wang Yaqin of Shulan City was arrested at home on the morning of July 15, 2020.
2. [Arxan City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Ma Xiuqin Sentenced to Four-Year Prison Term
Ms. Ma Xiuqin of Arxan City was arrested by officers from the Gongjianfa Police Station on March 11, 2020. She was recently sentenced to four years in prison by the Arxan City Court.
3. [Li County, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Jingzhong’s Home Ransacked
Mr. Liu Jingzhong avoided arrest when police raided his home on July 14, 2020. Officers from the Li County Domestic Security Division and Baoxu Township Police Station jumped over the fence and tried to arrest him at home. But Mr. Liu happened to be out. The officers ransacked his home.
4. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Yumei Arrested
Ms. Zhao Yumei, wife of Mr. Li Jiansuo, was arrested by officers from the Li County Police Department on July 16, 2020.
5. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Hanqing Arrested
Mr. Liu Hanqing of Laixi City was arrested by officer Zhang and others from the Nanshu Town Police Station after someone reported him for posting Falun Gong flyers on July 10, 2020. His home was ransacked. A copy of the book Zhuan Falun and four or five other Falun Gong books, among other belongings, were confiscated. He was released the same day.
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Gu Yanqing Arrested
Mr. Gu Yanqing of Dalian City was arrested by officers from the Guangmingshan Town Police Station around July 11, 2020.
7. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhao Zijun Facing Trial
The trial for Mr. Zhao Zijun and Ms. Liu Shouhui scheduled for July 10, 2020 by the Qiaoxi Court was canceled because of “Ms. Liu’s disobedience.” The court rescheduled the trial for Mr. Zhao to July 17.
8. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Ling Detained
Ms. Chen Ling of Dehui City was arrested at her family's shop on July 9, 2020. She was first taken to Changchun City Detention Center, then to a hospital. Additional details are unknown.
9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Harassed
Ms. Zhou, who is elderly, was harassed at home by officers from the Wubeilu Police Station on July 15, 2020. Her computer and other personal belongings were confiscated.
10. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gao Chunling Arrested
Ms. Gao Chunling, in her 70s, of Tangshan City was arrested at home by officers from the Gaogezhuang Police Station at 6:00 a.m. on June 18, 2020. Five or six officers broke into her home, seized four or five Falun Gong books, four framed pictures of Falun Gong's founder, Falun Gong pamphlets, copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and a TV satellite receiver. Ms. Gao was held at the police station until the evening.
11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested
Officers from Nongan County Police Department raided practitioners’ homes, and arrested practitioners at 7:00 a.m. on July 15, 2020. Ms. Wu Dongmei, Mr. Dan, Ms. Gao Xiaoqi, Ms. Cai Yuying, and (husband) Mr. Yu Chunlin were arrested, and their homes were ransacked. Plainclothes officers broke the anti-theft door lock and entered Ms. Cai and Mr. Yu's home. Elderly Ms. Gao was harassed at home. Police seized her notebook computer and cell phone.
The same day, Ms. Cui (wife of Mr. Du Jingyi) was arrested. Ms. Zhao Guirong was harassed at home by police, and her son Mr. Ma Yi was taken away.
12. [Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Fan Zihua Arrested
Ms. Fan Zihua, 66, of Chongzhou City, distributed Falun Gong flyers and talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on the evening of June 11, 2020. Someone reported her to police. Six officers from the Chengdong Police Station arrested her, handcuffed her, and took her to the police station on June 12. All of her Falun Gong books were confiscated. She was released to her daughter in the afternoon.
13. [Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province] Ms. He Lianchun Facing Trial
Ms. He Lianchun of Mengzi County is scheduled for trial by the Jianshui County Court on the afternoon of July 22, 2020.
14. [Yichun City, Jiangxi Province] Three Practitioners Detained, Six Harassed, One Sentenced
Ms. Jiang Meixiu, Ms. Liao Sanying, and her husband, from Gaoan City, were arrested in January 2020, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked and Ms. Jiang and Ms. Liao were taken to the Yichun Detention Center. Ms. Liao's husband is being detained at the Gaoan Detention Center. It was reported that he will be sentenced.
Mr. Nie Guanghui, Ms. Liu Sanying, Mr. Luo Jinbao, Mr. Xiong Weisheng, teacher Luo (male), and teacher Zuo (male) were harassed.
Ms. Chen Xiaoying was given a suspended sentence for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong and about quitting the Chinese Communist Party.
15. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wu Xiaoying Detained
Ms. Wu Xiaoying of Huarong County was handcuffed and arrested by officers from the Chengzhong Police Station on the afternoon of June 14, 2020, after someone reported her for posting Falun Gong flyers. She was interrogated by officers and the station's director. They took her to a hospital for a physical exam at night, and then held her for two days in the main detention room. Police ransacked her home and seized her Falun Gong books, copies of Minghui Weekly, cell phones, and video players. Ms. Wu was taken to the Hubin Detention Center for ten days. She was released, but lost her job because as a result.
16. [Chongqing] Mr. Yang Zuolin’s Whereabouts Unknown
Mr. Yang Zuolin of Chongqing was arrested by officers from the Jiaping Town government and police station around July 7, 2020, after someone reported him for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong and distributing Falun Gong flyers. Two days later, officers who were taking him to Jiangjin District stopped at the Jiangjin District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and had Mr. Yang undergo a physical exam. The officers said that Mr. Yang escaped from the hospital. Mr. Yang has been missing since then.
17. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ten Practitioners Arrested
Ten practitioners from Hulin City were arrested, and seven of them were released. Ms. Dong, Ms. Guan Yanfeng, and Ms. Li Meizhi were taken to Jixi City for detention. On July 12, 2020, police seized ten sets of Falun Gong books, six computers, and two small machines.
18. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Shuyun Arrested
Ms. Zhang Shuyun, 72, of Nongan County was arrested in the stairway of her home on July 15, 2020. Her cell phone and Falun Gong books were confiscated.
19. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Sumei and Mr. Pang Hongyong Arrested
Ms. Zhao Sumei and Mr. Pang Hongyong (non-practitioner) of Botou City were arrested separately on the afternoon of July 14, 2020. Mr. Pang was released on the afternoon of July 15.
20. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Zhang Xiuzhi’s husband was intercepted by three or four officers when he opened the door to go to work on July 15, 2020. The officers did not allow him to leave, and arrested Ms. Zhang. Her whereabouts are unknown.
Ms. Sun Fengxian of Nongan County was arrested at home between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on July 16, 2020. Her whereabouts are unknown.
The wife of late Mr. Liu Changkun was arrested at home on July 15, 2020.
21. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Wenjing Arrested
Ms. Li Wenjing of Tianjin was arrested by officers from the Dongli Police Station a week ago, after someone reported her for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.
22. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Renxia Tried Online
Ms. Zhao Renxia of Qingdao City was tried online by the Huangdao District Court on the morning of July 16, 2020, while she was detained in the Pudong Detention Center. She contested the charges and evidence against her. The court adjourned without a verdict.
23. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Liwen Arrested
Mr. Wang Liwen of Jinzhou City was arrested by officers from the Shangcheng Police Station on the afternoon of July 15, 2020, after someone reported him for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.
24. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Li Weiping and Ms. Lin Guichen Detained
Ms. Li Weiping of Fuzhou City was arrested and taken to the Minqing County Detention Center by officers from the Yuefeng Police Station on July 16, 2020.
Ms. Lin Guichen of Fuzhou City was arrested and taken to the Minqing County Detention Center on July 12, 2020, when she was distributing Falun Gong flyers.
25. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tian Huaying Arrested
Ms. Tian Huaying was arrested at home by a dozen officers from the Jiangjun Road Police Station. The officers confiscated her Falun Gong books and a picture of Falun Gong's founder. She was released on the afternoon of July 16. Officers were stationed near her home to monitor her.
26. [Yuzhou City, Henan province] Ms. Zhang Zhiwen Dead After Three Days in Detention
Ms. Zhang Zhiwen of Yuzhou City was arrested at home on May 13, 2020, and her home was ransacked. Wang Xiaowei and Luo Dongjun from the Yuzhou City Domestic Security Division took her to the Xuchang City Detention Center, where she was held for criminal detention. She was persecuted to death in three days.
27. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Guilan Arrested
Ms. Zhang Guilan of Huaibin County was arrested by officers from the Sijing Police Station on the evening of June 21, 2020, after someone reported her for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Officers from the Sijing Police Station and Songjiang District State Security Bureau ransacked her daughter's home and seized a bag containing Falun Gong fliers and two to three thousand yuan in cash with Falun Gong information printed on the bills. Her daughter and son-in-law, both non-practitioners, were taken to the police station for interrogation, which continued until 1:00 a.m. Ms. Zhang's whereabouts are unknown.
28. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Huang Juxiu Arrested
Ms. Huang Juxiu, 70, of Yueyang City was arrested by officers from the Jinfengqiao Police Station.
29. [Lushan County, Henan Province] Mr. Si Taian's Case Submitted to Procuratorate
Mr. Si Taian, 68, of Lushan County was arrested at home on June 26, 2020. He is being held at Malou Police Station. His case was submitted to the Procuratorate.
