(Minghui.org) A local Chinese Communist Party (CCP) official from my neighborhood administration committee learned about Falun Gong, also called Falun Dafa, and other information by getting around the CCP’s internet censorship.

The officer, in blue clothes and a face mask, knocked on my door at 9 p.m. to say he was checking with each family to see if anyone had recently visited Hubei Province, where the coronavirus started, or had had any visitors from there.

I told him I did not know anyone from Hubei and he asked me to record the information on a document he handed me. I asked him why he was working so late, to which he responded he had to work overtime—until midnight.

When I told him it wasn’t safe for him to do that, he said he was told he had to. I decided to clarify the truth to him and then talked about the current epidemic.

“This epidemic is worse than SARS,” I said. “It is hard to control.”

“It is controllable if you see the government reports,” he said. “It is beyond control if you don’t see the reports.”

He then told me about the population in Wuhan and the rate of the coronavirus infection.

I said. “The CCP boasts that it is confident it can defeat the virus, but how can it?”

The man said he knew that this year was going to bring a lot of trouble. I asked how he got to know this and he said he got around the internet censorship. I said I did, too. We both laughed.

“There are no specific drugs to fight the coronavirus,” I said. “Recovery depends on one’s immunity. Some patients recover, while others die. Falun Gong practitioners recommend reciting ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ when facing disaster. It appears to be worthwhile.”

While holding up three fingers, the man said, “You know, each committee member is given a quota of three cases. Only three! That means if someone is sick with the virus and reported to us, we report it to our superiors—but not if there are more than three cases. They are not counted in the total cases of the epidemic.”

I said that the CCP was simply evil. He agreed.

“Have you quit your membership in the CCP?” I asked. He shook his head and asked, “Do you practice Falun Gong?”

“My mother practices it,” I answered, “and she is very healthy. She took care of older people in the village who had no family and was well thought of for many years. But the CCP imprisoned her for three years for her belief. I was 17 years old.

“Over 350 million Chinese people have already withdrawn from the Party and its youth organizations. You should think for yourself and quit it to ensure that you have a safe future.”

He agreed, and I told him that he would safe from now on.

He laughed and said, “I did not know that you could also get around the internet censorship.” Then he went upstairs to check with other families in the building.
