(Minghui.org) Ms. Wu Juan from Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province, was given a three and a half year prison term on December 27, 2018, after being held in custody for nearly a year. She was admitted to the No. 5 Ward in Liaoning Women's Prison in February 2019.
It was recently reported that she’s been subjected to forced “transformation.” To try to make Ms. Wu give up practicing Falun Dafa, the guards and inmates serving terms on criminal charges have collaborated to torture her inhumanely.
Acting under the guards' orders, inmates force her to stand while working in the workshop every day. After hours, she is forced to stand in her cell until after 9 p.m. When Ms. Wu sat down instead, Zhang Rennan, a drug addict, beat her severely. On another occasion, Ms. Wu was taken to a warehouse on the second floor above the workshop, where Zhang Rennan and another drug addict Hou Junli viciously beat her. Ms. Wu suffered chest pain from the beatings and could not walk straight. She is also not allowed to wash her face or brush her teeth

In addition to beating Ms. Wu, Zhang Rennan also poured water over her as she lay in bed to deprive her of sleep.
The abuse is still going on.
Ms. Wu Juan is a kind and responsible daughter-in-law. After her husband died, she continued to take care of his parents. She went to the Hejiagou area to hand out New Year paintings and booklets with information about Falun Dafa in February 2018. She was reported to the police by the village head, Bu Jingkui, and was arrested by officer Wu Zhipeng and others from the Fengshan Police Department.
After Ms. Wu was arrested and detained, her father-in-law Mr. Liu Dianfang filed a written complaint demanding her acquittal. He wrote:
“After my daughter-in-law started practicing Falun Dafa in 1998, she became a kind and caring person. She honors her in-laws, cares for her husband and children, and treats everyone around her kindly. She is praised and respected by everyone who interacts with her. After the persecution of Falun Dafa began in 1999, she was taken to forced labor camps and sentenced to prison.
“During her three years in prison, my wife often wept and eventually died. By the time my daughter-in-law was released from prison, I was elderly and alone, with no one to care for me. To take care of me, she never re-married (my son died years ago).
“Falun Dafa requires every practitioner to be a good person who lives up to the standards of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. It is a practice that teaches people to be kind, which benefits our society. Although my daughter-in-law was imprisoned unjustly, she has never harbored any grudge toward the police officers who framed her and remained optimistic despite all that's been done to her.
“There is nothing wrong with practicing Falun Dafa. It does not violate the law! The police are supposed to round up criminals, not waste their time arresting and detaining good people. It is your duty to punish evildoers and promote goodness. Those who are dutiful will be blessed and those who persecute kindness are acting against heaven’s principles. Therefore, I hope that your department will investigate my complaint seriously and acquit my daughter-in-law.”
However, on December 27, 2018, Ms. Wu was sentenced to three and a half years in prison by the Fengcheng Court. Today, Ms. Wu is being severely abused in prison for her steadfast belief in Falun Dafa.
