Nothing Is Accidental

(Minghui.org) I recently received some positive feedback from the text messages I sent to China. One person asked me how to learn Falun Dafa and where to find the books. I felt encouraged since I hadn't received any responses since I joined the project. I quickly sent her the link to Minghui.org and other websites and phoned to ask if she quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations. She told me that she was contacted last year but she wanted to learn more about Dafa before she decides to quit.

Although I didn’t help her quit the CCP, I was really happy for her that she wanted to learn more about Falun Dafa.

Master said:

“Don't underestimate your sending even one flyer or one booklet to China, making one phone call there, or sending one fax there or sending all sorts of information--the effect is quite significant, and its effect in frightening and eliminating the evil is huge, truly huge.” (Touring North America to Teach the Fa)

This made me realize that saving people is like breaking ice. Sentient beings are caught between frozen layers of evil Party thoughts. Practitioners have the mallet and repeatedly chip away at the thick ice layer. Sometimes just one or two taps can break the ice and people wake up. Sometimes it takes more than ten taps to wake people up. During this process, every practitioner who participates in this plays a huge role.

Master said,

“Whatever you experience during your cultivation—whether good or bad—is good, for it comes about only because you are cultivating.” (“To the Chicago Fa Conference,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress, Vol. III)

Master also said,

“From the day that a Dafa disciple takes up cultivation his whole life is rearranged. In other words, this life of yours is now the life of a cultivator. Nothing is by chance anymore, and nothing will happen just by chance. Everything on your life's journey is directly related to your improvement and cultivation.” (Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles)

My car was towed away recently while I ate at a restaurant. I experienced the most direct and intense xinxing test when I discovered what happened. I was angry and anxious, but I kept reminding myself of Master's Fa: “Many things appear to be random, but none of them are.” (Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Houston)

I noticed a sign next to the payment counter: “A narrow-minded person always blames others for his faults. A gentleman regards others' faults as his own, so he blames himself.” I felt it was like a stick warning. I adjusted my mindset, paid the fine, picked up my car, and left. Afterwards, I felt at ease.

I was always deeply pained by my relationship with my family. As a child, I dared not disobey my parents. My father was very hard on me and I was verbally humiliated and physically punished—he felt boys were more important than girls. I recently understood that nothing is accidental. Every arrangement is good. I should thank my father for helping me eliminate my karma. Despite the abuse, I respected him and seldom argued with him—so I didn’t commit more wrongdoings and had the opportunity to obtain the Fa. As soon as I realized this, my very harsh father sent me the message, “You shouldn't resent your dad anymore!”

I tearfully replied, “I forgive you. I practice Falun Dafa, I follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Falun Dafa is Good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is Good!” My dad replied, “Let the past pass. Today is a new day.” I am grateful to Master for helping me resolve all the resentment I had against my father.

May we look at everything with righteous thoughts, as we walk the last leg of our cultivation journey.
