Mr. Wang Aisheng and his wife Ms. Song Guohua were contacted to have a “talk” with Song Xicheng, principal of the No.3 Middle School and Zhang Guisheng, principal of the No.4 Middle School, respectively, on November 25, 2020. They were pressured to sign the guarantee statement to stop practicing Falun Gong; otherwise they would lose their jobs.
Ms. Song Guohua was told on December 2, 2020 by principal Song Xicheng that her employment contract would not be renewed.
2. [Huanan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Guangyou and Ms. Liu Chunjing Face Trial
Mr. Liu Guangyou and Ms. Liu Chunjing have been detained in the Jiamusi City Detention Center and the Huanan County Detention Center, respectively, for more than a year. They will be tried by the Xiangyang District Court via live video on December 8, 2020.
3. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhai Yanan’s Sentence Upheld in Intermediate Court
Ms. Zhai Yanan (64 years old) has been detained for nearly two years. She was sentenced to two years and six months and was fined 3,000 yuan on August 24, 2020. She appealed to the Hefei Intermediate Court, which upheld the original sentence.
4. [Penglai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Nan Harassed
Ms. Liu Nan works at Penglai Normal School. Because she refused to sign the three statements to renounce Falun Gong, school officials threatened to fire her.
5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yao Fengyun Faces Trial
Ms. Yao Fengyun is scheduled to be tried via live video at 9 a.m. on December 10, 2020.
6. [Xinle City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Shulin Faces Trial
Mr. Liu Shlin from Xipingle Township of Zhengding County was arrested on May 19 2020. His case has been sent to the Zhengding County Court.
7. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Yazhi and Ms. Sun Shuxia Arrested
Ms. Yang Yazhi was harassed on December 1, 2020, by police who demanded she sign the three statements. On December 2, 2020, she and Ms. Sun Shuxia were arrested and taken to Dehui City. They may face a trial.
8. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Han Qingxia Harassed
Ms. Han Qingxia had been receiving harassment calls every day from Lin Chengwei, head of the domestic security division. After Ms. Han turned off her phone, Lin started to call her mother, her sister and her adult child. Lin and police officer Li Xiaoli also came to Ms. Han’s home to harass her. They took away two new travel backpacks.
They recently found someone to trick Ms. Han to go to court.
9. [Guangzong County, Hebei Province] Mr. Yan Xiuhong Arrested
Mr. Yan Xiuhong was taken to the Guangzhong County Detention Center by a group of people led by Zhang Mengkan from the detention center.
10. [Chongqing] Mr. Zhu Defu Under Residential Surveillance
Mr. Zhu Defu was taken to a brainwashing center. After he was released, he returned to his hometown in Tongguanyi of Jiulongpo District. He is currently under residential surveillance.
11. [Lulong County, Hebei Province] Practitioner Liu Arrested
Practitioner Liu (gender unknown) was arrested on November 30, 2020 by plainclothes police when Liu was talking to people about Falun Gong at the Dalidianzi Market. Liu was taken to Mujing Town Police Station and interrogated for four or five hours. Officers from the Xigang Road Police Station and local community staff went to Liu’s home around 4 p.m. that day. They took away some Falun Gong calendars and brochures.
12. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Yuqin Arrested
Ms. Ma Yuqin was arrested on the afternoon of December 2, 2020, when she was posting stickers with messages about Falun Gong. Officers from the Nancheng Police Station took her to the Sanhe City Detention Center. She was escorted back to her hometown, Qingzhou City three days after she was arrested.
13. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Yuqiong Harassed
Ms. Li Yuqiong was harassed at home on the morning of December 3, 2020. Five people from the Nanping Police Station in Nan’an District and the local community staff came to her home and demanded she sign the guarantee statement. She refused. She was harassed at home again around 2 p.m. that day by eight people. Ms. Li still refused to cooperate. They didn’t leave until after 9 p.m.
14. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Aunt Li and Her Two Daughters Arrested
Officers from the Yuelu District Police Department broke two locks and ransacked Aunt Li’s home. They arrested Aunt Li and her daughters Mo Ji and Mo Fang. The three of them were interrogated at the Yuelu District Police Department. They were released late that night.
15. [Guyuan City, Ningxia] Ms. Zhang Junqin Sentenced to Three years in Prison
It was recently learned that Ms. Zhang Junqin from Yuanzhou District was sentenced to three years in prison by the Yuanzhou District Court. She has appealed to the Guyuan Intermediate Court.
16. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lu Chunyu's Home Raided
Seven police officers from the Ershili Police Station in the Jinpu New District ransacked Ms. Lu Chunyu's clinic located in her home. They took away 18 desk calendars, some keepsakes, several Falun Gong books and a computer.
17. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ma Fenglan Harassed
Ms. Ma Fenglan was harassed on December 2, 2020, by staff from the retirement office of No.3 Factory, the factory party committee, and the finance department. They demanded she sign a guarantee statement renouncing Falun Gong. They threatened her and said that she would not be able to take the high-speed train and her retirement pay would be affected. Ms. Ma did not cooperate with them.
18. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qiao Lihua and Ms. Niu Yunlian Harassed
Ms. Qiao Lihua from Hui’an County was harassed at home around 1 p.m. on July 1, 2020. The village officials asked whether she still practiced Falun Gong and tried to videotape her. She stopped them.
Ms. Niu Yunlian lives in Dongshacheng Village, Xishacheng Township of Huai’an County. She was harassed from March to May 2020. She was threatened and told she would lose her subsistence allowance if she refused to give up practicing Falun Gong.
19. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yao Shuxia Arrested Under Approval
It was learned on December 4, 2020, that the case against Ms. Yao Shuxia was filed to the Procuratorate and she was arrested under approval.
20. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. He Lixia Arrested
Ms. He Lixia from Dumeng County was arrested nine days ago. Details of the arrest are unknown.
21. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Tian Yanhong and Ms. Yin Shufen Arrested
Ms. Tian Yanhong and Ms. Yin Shufen live in Dakanxia Village, Bailong Township of Mancheng District, Baoding City. They were arrested on December 3, 2020, when they distributed Falun Gong informational materials in Shenxing Town. They were first taken to the Bailong Township Police Station, and then to the Mencheng District Police Department. That evening they were taken to a detention center.
Their family members went to the Bailong Township Police Station on December 4, 2020, to visit them and bring them some clothes. Their visitation request was denied with a stated reason of the pandemic.
22. [Beijing] Ms. Zhou Jing Arrested
Ms. Zhou Jing was arrested on November 12, 2020, by officers from the Changqiao Police Station in the Xicheng District. She was released on bail pending trial on November 21, 2020.
23. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhou Xianfeng Arrested
Ms. Zhou Xianfeng lives in Jintang Village, Jingguan Town, Beibei District. She was arrested at home on the afternoon of December 2, 2020, by officers from the Jingguan Town Police Station and the town 610 Office. She has been released home.
24. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Peng Jingjun Faces Trial
Mr. Peng Jingjun was arrested on August 19, 2020 when he talked to people about Falun Gong on the street. He was detained in the Shenze County Police Department. The Jinzhou City Detention Center refused to detain him three times because of his high temperature.
Mr. Peng was released on bail pending trial on August 24, 2020. He was called to the police department on August 31 by Chang Liwei, who told him to sign some documents.
He received a call on September 10, 2020, informing him that his case was transferred to the Jinzhou City Procuratorate.
He received a call on December 2, 2020, from the Jinzhou City Court. He was told to go to court for the formal detention procedure. He now faces trial.
25. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yu Chuang Harassed Repeatedly
Ms. Yu Chuang from Tuanjie Town, Luobei County of Hegang City, currently lives in Jiamusi City. Recently, she and her family were repeatedly harassed by the police from the Tuanjie Police Station in Luobei County, where she maintains her household registration.
Zhu Yaodong, head of the Tuanjie Police Station, repeatedly sent harassment messages to Ms. Yu Chuang’s husband (who works in another city) via WeChat. He demanded Ms. Yu sign the three statements and threatened that their child might not be allowed to take the university entrance exams because they did not pass the political background inspection.
Zhu Yaodong went to the workplace of Ms. Yu’s brother and tried to make him pressure her. Her brother refused.
Ms. Yu was harassed on November 13, 2020 by Zhu Yaodong and was threatened again with the future of her child. Ms. Yu refused to cooperate.
That afternoon, led by Zhu Yaodong, four or five people came to Ms. Yu’s home. They turned off the power to the downstairs apartment and went upstairs to knock on her apartment door. They kicked and pulled the door but could not open it. Ms. Yu’s child had to stay at a friend’s home to avoid being harassed.
They called Ms. Yu’s husband on November 19, 2020, and demanded he transfer their household registration to Jiamusi City.
26. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Changyan Harassed
Ms. Yang Changyan (around 60 years old) was harassed at home in Xianfeng Village, Fudi Town around September 20, 2020, by a village official. The village official took out the two forms and told Ms. Yang’s husband to sign them. When he saw they were about giving up practicing Falun Gong, her husband said, “No, I won’t do it. All her illnesses were resolved after she began practicing Falun Gong. She wants and needs to practice. What’s wrong with practicing Falun Gong?”
