1. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Several officers from the No. 2 Criminal Police Division in Tieren Police Department arrested seven practitioners on November 22, 2020.
Those arrested include Ms. Wang Jianhui (from the Daqing City No. 1 People’s Hospital), Mr. Gao Hongbin (from the Tieren School), Ms. Wang Luhua (Mr. Gao Hongbin’s wife), Ms. Han Lihua (former employee of the No. 6 Oil Production Plant), Ms. Zhang Lihua (from Gonggang District).
Among them, Ms. Wang Luhua and Ms. Zhang Lihua were released on bail on the afternoon of November 23. Other practitioners were taken to the Daqing City Detention Center.
2. [Luoding City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Shen Xuemei Tried
Ms. Shen Xuemei was arrested on September 30, 2019. She was held in the Luoding City Detention Center and transferred to the Yunfu City Detention Center in October 2020. She was tried by the Yun’an District Court on November 20. No relatives except her lawyer were allowed to enter the courtroom.
Ms. Shen was previously subjected to forced labor for over a year in 2000. She was displaced after 2002 for several years.
3. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Mr. Ji Yongcheng Arrested
Mr. Ji Yongcheng from Taoqu Town was arrested by police assistants from the Xijiao Police Station in Lanshan District, Linyi City on September 26, 2020. At the police station, the officers interrogated and threatened him. They forcibly took his blood sample, saliva, and fingerprints. The officers confiscated a computer and Falun Gong informational materials from his dormitory. Mr. Ji was held in custody for 24 hours before being transferred to the Taoqu Police Station, where he was placed under residential surveillance and released on bail.
4. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Harassed
Shuanghou Town began to carry out the “zero-out” campaign against local Falun Dafa practitioners in the spring of 2020. The town’s comprehensive management office, police station, and judicial office coerced village officials into harassing, threatening, and arresting Falun Gong practitioners.
Practitioners Pang Zhonghua, Gao Hongzhou, Liu Naishuang, and Liu Naikui were taken to the Yinan County Brainwashing Center.
5. [Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Huang Qingdeng in Critical Condition
Mr. Huang Qingdeng, 83, from Hongqiao Town in Leqing City, was arrested in April 2019 for calling people to tell them about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was sentenced to seven years in prison by the Leqing City Court in March 2020. He was held in the Hangzhou City No. 2 Prison. Last week, prison staff called and told his family that he had been taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
6. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Zhenghe and Daughter Ms. Qiao Maorong Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Wang Zhenghe and her daughter Ms. Qiao Maorong from Jiading District were arrested while distributing Falun Gong materials on July 5, 2019. They were taken to the Jiading District Detention Center. Ms. Wang was later sentenced to a one-year-and-six-month prison term and Ms. Qiao to a one-year prison term.
In mid-July 2020, Xie Xiaoyan, who participated in the persecution, brought a young lady, who claimed to be a lawyer, to threaten Ms. Qiao and try to convince her to plead guilty. They threatened that if she did not confess or plead guilty, she would face serious consequences in that she could not be tried and would be kept in the detention center indefinitely.
7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Plainclothes officers from the Daqing City Police Department staked out, stalked, and arrested several practitioners on April 7, 2020.
Among those arrested, cases of Mr. Li Lizhuang, Mr. Huo Xiaohui, Ms. Ding Yan, Ms. Tang Zhuyin, Ms. Li Yanqing, Ms. Jiao Qihua, and Ms. Zhao Lihua were brought to the Ranghulu District Court.
Of the seven practitioners, Mr. Li and Mr. Huo are being held in the Zhaozhou Detention Center, and the five female practitioners are being held in the Daqing City No. 2 Detention Center.
8. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Gao Xijiang Harassed
People from the No. 201 Team, No. 2 Workover Team, Daqing Underground Operations Branch, harassed Mr. Gao Xijiang. A few days ago, a human resources clerk sent him a text message and told him to sign the “three statements” renouncing Falun Gong. The team’s Party secretary sent a text message to him on November 17 to harass him. They knocked on his door several times, which caused tremendous pressure on him.
9. [Chongqing] Mr. Huang Bin Harassed Several Times
Five staff members from the South Community of Southwest University in Tiansheng Sub-district, Beibei District, went to Mr. Huang Bin’s home on the evening of September 14, 2020. They tried to tell him to sign a statement that slandered Falun Gong. He was not at home at the time. His wife Ms. Shi Shengping told the staff members about the persecution of Falun Gong and firmly refused to sign the document. Before leaving, the staff members said it was a task assigned by higher authorities and that they had to come.
The five people went to Mr. Huang’s office and harassed him on the morning of November 6 and did not leave until two hours later.
Five people, including deputy director Tao from the local police station, residential officer Zhu, and community staff member Yu went to Mr. Huang’s office on the morning of November 23 and demanded that he sign the “five statements” to renounce Falun Gong, but he refused.
10. [Chongqing] Ms. He Hong Missing
Ms. He Hong from Jiangbei District went missing on November 23, 2020.
11. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yi Zhaoling Arrested
Ms. Yi Zhaoling was arrested by director Chen Bo of the Haizhu District 610 Office and officer Zhang from the Xingang Police Station when she returned to her original work unit to look up information in her personal files on November 18, 2020.
She was taken to a brainwashing center, where she was ordered to write the three statements. She refused. Chen threatened that if she did not write them, she would not be allowed to leave. Ms. Yi went on a hunger strike and was released that evening.
Chen brought someone to Ms. Yi’s home and knocked on the door on November 23. She did not open the door. Chen ordered community staff members to cut off the water and electricity in her home. Ms. Yi had to agree to have a talk at the Haizhu District Justice Bureau on November 24 before water and electricity were restored to her home.
12. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chang Xiujie Harassed
Officers from the Liushouying Police Station in Funing County went to Ms. Chang Xiujie’s home in Niudian Village on November 7, 2020. They told her to sign a guarantee statement to renounce Falun Gong.
They threatened that if she did not sign the document, they would demolish her new, large row of pigsties and her feed processing factory.
13. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xia Taken to Brainwashing Center
Five or six people from the Xianfeng Office, led by Lizhuang Village officials, forcibly took Ms. Li Xia to a brainwashing center on November 21, 2020. At her insistence, they allowed her to go home to pick up her child at noon, but she had to return to the brainwashing center in the afternoon.
Ms. Li Guihua was also harassed.
14. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Jixiang Arrested
Ms. Liu Jixiang, 75, was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong on November 12, 2020. She was arrested by officers from the Shiqiao Police Station in Zhangdian District. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. She was interrogated at the police station. She refused to cooperate and went home after five hours.
15. [Sanmenxia City, Henan Province] Mr. Cao Yu Arrested
Mr. Cao Yu from Wuyuan Village in Shanzhou District was arrested by officers from the Yuandian Town Police Station on October 27, 2020. His current whereabouts are unknown.
16. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Shuai Arrested
Mr. Li Shuai was arrested by officers from the Wangcun Police Station while loading bricks in a brick factory on the morning of November 11, 2020. He was handcuffed and taken to the police station. He was transferred to the Dazhuang Detention Center in Zhoucun District on November 13.
17. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhang Daochang Harassed
Residential officer Chang, director Fang from the Gulin Street Comprehensive Management Office, and director Wang from the community residential committee went to Mr. Zhang Daochang’s home on November 18, 2020.
In the form of conducting a census, they asked Mr. Zhang to fill out a survey and asked him if he still practiced Falun Gong. They told him to sign the paperwork, but he said no.
Director Fang threatened that if he did not sign, it would adversely impact his pension, his son’s job, and his grandson’s future, and they would also take further measures.
Seeing Mr. Zhang’s refusal to cooperate, Fang grabbed his hand and forced him to fingerprint and sign the statements. The whole process lasted over two hours.
18. [Shanghai] Ms. Lu Gendi Harassed Repeatedly
Ms. Lu Gendi, 87, from the Jintaisanju Residential Community, Jinyang Sub-district, Pudong New Area, who broke her leg, was harassed repeatedly at home by community personnel and the police in October and November 2020.
19. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhu Huanxiang and Ms. Liang Yu Taken to Brainwashing Center
Qing County officials are secretly running a brainwashing class on the third floor of the Center for Disease Control near the National Highway 104 in the urban area to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Several people who had been successfully “transformed” (made to renounce their faith) were there to assist in the brainwashing of practitioners.
Ms. Zhu Huanxiang was held there for four days. She was released after her family member signed paperwork under pressure.
Ms. Liang Yu is currently forced to go to the class during the day and return home at night.
20. [Xishui County, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Yuan Mingzhu, in her 70s, was reported to the police for posting Falun Gong materials on August 1, 2019. She was arrested and held in custody for six days.
Ms. He Xiaolan, in her 60s, Ms. Yuan Mingzhu, Ms. Zhang Laxiang, and elderly Ms. Li were arrested by the Xishui County police when they were studying Falun Gong teachings together on the morning of August 15, 2019.
Elderly Ms. Li was released that evening. Ms. Zhang was detained for 15 days. Ms. He and Ms. Yuan have been held in the Wuhan City Brainwashing Center. Not long ago, Ms. Yuan was sentenced to a one-and-a-half-year prison term and Ms. He to a two-year prison term.
21. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhai Shengrong Detained
Ms. Zhai Shengrong was arrested by officers including Liu Meicheng from the Zhuolu County Domestic Security Division on November 10, 2020. The officers handcuffed her behind the back and dragged her into the car.
She was taken to the county hospital for a nucleic acid test and then to the county hospital of traditional Chinese medicine for a mandatory physical examination. At 6:30 p.m., the officers went to the county hospital to get the nucleic acid test results and took her directly to the Zhangjiakou Detention Center.
Ms. Zhai went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Seven days later, detention center officials released her on November 16.
22. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Officers led by director Zhang Lianxi of the Xinzhan Town Police Station in Zhaoyuan County went to Mr. Zhao Shifeng’s home and pressured him to sign the three statements. Mr. Zhao refused. They went to his home again several days later, but he was not at home.
Director Zhang and two officers went to Ms. Li Yanhua’s home on November 18, 2020. They told her to go to the police station for a talk, but she refused.
Eight officers went to Ms. Tian Yuxiang’s home three times on the afternoon of November 18 and told her to go to the police station.
23. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Guan Dejuan Detained
Ms. Guan Dejuan was taken to the Weizigou Detention Center for five days of detention in recent days.
24. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guifeng and Ms. Wang Sulian Arrested
Ms. Liu Guifeng, 48, was arrested by officers from the Jiaozhou City Domestic Security Division and the Zhongyun Police Station on November 20, 2020 for talking to people about Falun Gong. Subsequently, the officers went to Ms. Wang Sulian’s home, arrested her, and confiscated a computer and other personal belongings. Ms. Wang is in her 70s.
25. [Xiyang County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Zhihong Arrested
Ms. Wang Zhihong was arrested at home around September 10, 2020.
26. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Wu Xuemei Arrested
Practitioner Wu Xuemei (gender unknown, from the Qingdao West Coast New Area) had just returned home after picking up his or her child when four or five police officers broke in and arrested Wu on November 21, 2020. The officers ransacked the place and confiscated Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. Wu is being held in the Liuwang Town Police Station.
27. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Xiaoqiu Arrested
Ms. Wang Xiaoqiu was arrested by plainclothes officers while talking to people about Falun Gong at the Jinjiahui Supermarket in Majiadian area on November 23, 2020. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Xishan Police Station.
28. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Guo Yanxiang and Ms. Jiang Fengxia Arrested
Officers from the Jiutai District Domestic Security Division and Shanghewan Police Station broke into Mr. Guo Yanxiang’s home and ransacked the place on November 16, 2020. They confiscated a computer, two printers, Falun Dafa books, and 36,000 yuan in paper currency marked with Falun Gong messages. Mr. Guo was arrested and taken to the Jiutai District Detention Center.
Officers from the Jiutai District Domestic Security Division and officers including Li Sixin from the Shanghewan Police Station went to Ms. Jiang Fengxia’s home and arrested her on November 18. She was released after failing the physical exam. The officers went to her home again the following day, but she was not at home.
29. [Dangshan County, Anhui Province] Mr. Yang Yinzhong Arrested
Mr. Yang Yinzhong lost his backpack on the way to his relatives in Lizhuang Town on October 26, 2020. The backpack was picked up and taken to the Zhudian Village Committee in Lizhuang Town.
Inside the bag were pendants with the words “Falun Dafa is good,” several cell phones, and about 20,000 yuan in cash. The committee reported the find to the police. Mr. Yang was arrested and held in the police station for one and a half days, and his home was ransacked. A few days later, Mr. Yang got his cell phones back, but other items and 20,000 yuan in cash were still held by the police.
30. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cao Shulian’s Case Brought to Court; Ms. Xing Deqin’s Case Returned to Domestic Security Division
Lawyers hired by practitioners Ms. Cao Shulian and Ms. Xing Deqin completed all paperwork with the Lawyers Association of Tonghua Justice Bureau on November 20, 2020. On the same day, the Liuhe County Court notified Ms. Cao’s family by text messaging that her case file had arrived in the court.
Ms. Cao’s lawyer went to the court on November 23 and was told Ms. Cao’s name was not found. The lawyer then went to the Liuhe County Procuratorate for inquiries, and the prosecutor told the lawyer that Ms. Cao’s materials had reached the court.
Ms. Xing Deqin’s lawyer went to the procuratorate on November 23 and learned that the her case files were returned to the Liuhe County Domestic Security Division due to insufficient evidence.
31. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Meihong Arrested
Ms. Wang Meihong was reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong near Heilongjiang University on November 23, 2020. She was arrested and a laptop, a salary card, a paper diary, USB drives, and keepsakes she carried with her were confiscated.
32. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Shufang Harassed
Party secretary Hui Jian of the Zhangjiakou Municipal Party Committee, head of the Domestic Security Division of Huai’an County, Party secretary of Chaigoubu Town government, and officers from the local police station went to Ms. Zhang Shufang’s workplace and harassed her on November 11, 2020. They pressured her to sign the three statements, but she refused.
33. [Tongling City, Anhui Province] Practitioner Rao Hongsheng Taken to Detention Center
Practitioner Rao Hongsheng (gender unknown) was arrested and taken to the Tianmen Town Detention Center in Yi’an District.
34. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qu Yuxia Arrested
Ms. Qu Yuxia was arrested at home by four police officers on November 24, 2020.
35. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Practitioner Li Erzhuang (gander unknown), Ms. Li Fenghua and Ms. Zheng Yanfen were arrested by officers from the Mancheng District Police Department on the morning of November 24, 2020. Li’s home was ransacked. Mr. Mi Yuan’s whereabouts are unknown.
36. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Jinfei and Husband Mr. Chang Songbai Harassed
People from the Songhua Street Police Station and the sub-district administration office called Ms. Zhang Jinfei and her husband Mr. Chang Songbai several times on November 12, 2020. This people asked the couple if they were still practicing Falun Gong. They pressured the couple to “transform” and told them to sign guarantee statements renouncing Falun Gong.
37. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ms. He Guihua Harassed
Party secretary Liu Yongjiang of Lingxi Village in Daling Town, went to Ms. He Guihua’s home and harassed her on November 23, 2020. Lin told her to go to the Gongzhuling City brainwashing class for 10 days.
38. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Qin and Her Sister Ms. Xu Yinzi Arrested
Eight people from the Shenxing Town Police Station broke into the home of Ms. Xu Qin and her sister Ms. Xu Yinzi in Weizhuang Village on the morning of November 21, 2020. Both practitioners were taken to the Mancheng District Police Department and to a hospital for blood tests. The officers took their fingerprints and handprints. Both practitioners returned home that evening. Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong were confiscated.
39. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liao Mingxiang Harassed
Ms. Liao Mingxiang from Hanwang Village in Mengyang Town was called for questioning by village Party secretary Yang Qiongying on November 20, 2020. Yang threatened that if she continued to practice Falun Gong, she would be exposed in cold weather for a week, and the elderly couple’s pensions would be deducted.
40. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Mr. Wang Shanjun Arrested
Officers from the Wangdian Town Police Station in Yingzhou District went to Mr. Wang Shanjun’s home in Humiao Village and arrested him on November 22, 2020. Mr. Wang, 32, was placed under criminal detention. The officers also threatened to sentenced him to prison.
