(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 11 provinces，where at least 30 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shanghai] Five Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Cao Chong and Ms. Wang Zhongmin were arrested at home by officers from the Shanghai Domestic Security Division at noon on August 11, 2019. The officers ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

Ms. Zhu Xiufeng, Ms. Lu, and a female practitioner with the given name Juxian were arrested in July 2019.

2. [Beijing] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Shen Shuhua from Pinggu District, Beijing, was arrested and her hands handcuffed behind her back by officers from the Binhe Police Station, Pinggu District, on April 30, 2019. The officers went to her home, used a master key to open the door, and ransacked the place. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. Ms. Shen was released that evening.

Ms. Liu Zixuan from Cangzhou City in Hebei Province, Ms. Wang Xuhui from Baoding City in Hebei Province, Ms. Jiang Shan from Dalian City in Liaoning Province, and Ms. Ye Lin from Shandong Province were arrested at their rented place in Haidian District in Beijing on the evening of August 7, 2019. They were taken to the Haidian District Detention Center on the morning of August 9.

3. [Da’an City, Jilin Province] Ms. Geng Yanqiu Arrested

Ms. Geng Yanqiu was recently arrested by officers from the Baicheng Domestic Security Division.

4. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Gan Peiru Arrested

Ms. Gan Peiru, 76, was arrested and taken to the Pengzhou City Police Department on July 9, 2019. The officers searched her bag but did not find anything they could use against her. She was brought back home by officers from the Guangminglu Police Station.

5. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhao Shouhong Held in Custody

Ms. Zhao Shouhong was arrested on August 8, 2019. It was reported that she was held in the Fuyang City Detention Center. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer and a printer.

6. [Tai’an City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zuo Yongtai and Daughter Ms. Zuo Li Detained

Mr. Zuo Yongtai was reported to the authorities for talking to people about Falun Gong on the evening of June 26, 2019. He was arrested by officers from the Nanguan Police Station, Taishan District. The officers ransacked his home the following morning. Mr. Zuo was held in the Tai’an City Detention Center for 15 days.

Mr. Zuo’s daughter Ms. Zuo Li was present when Mr. Zuo spoke to people about Falun Gong. She was implicated and arrested by the officers on the morning of July 12, when her father was released. She was also detained for 15 days. Ms. Zuo has since returned home.

7. [Yuncheng County, Shandong Province] Mr. Fan Qinglun Arrested

Mr. Fan Qinglun from Balihe Village was reported to the authorities when he talked to people about Falun Gong in Zhaozhuang Village, Shuangqiao Township in late July 2019. He was arrested. The police ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. It was reported that Mr. Fan is being held in Yuncheng County.

8. [Yuanping City, Shanxi Province] Elderly Mr. Zhao Gaowen Arrested

Mr. Zhao Gaowen, an elderly practitioner, was arrested on July 31, 2019.

9. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Chen Yuhua Taken into Custody

Ms. Chen Yuhua, 76, was arrested and her home ransacked by officers from the Lianyun District Domestic Security Division on July 17, 2019. She was held in the Lianyungang City Detention Center. She has since returned home.

10. [Ren County, Hebei Province] Ms. Bai Xianmin Taken into Custody

Ms. Bai Xianmin from Wujiazhuang Village, Tiankou Township, was arrested by officers from the Ren County Police Department and the Tiankou Township Police Station on the morning of August 14, 2019. Ms. Bai was taken to the Xingtai City No. 1 Detention Center that evening.

11. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Pi Yuqin Held in Custody

Ms. Pi Yuqin was arrested by officers from the Xiaolangfang Police Station at the Baolongcang Shopping Mall on August 3, 2019. She is being held in the Langfang City Detention Center.

12. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Guo Jing Arrested

Ms. Guo Jing was arrested at home on August 7, 2019. Her home was ransacked.

13. [Xianning City, Hunan Province] Ms. Hua Taofeng and Husband Wang Xinqing Arrested

Zhang Ding’er, head of the Tongcheng County Domestic Security Division, and other officers arrested Ms. Hua Taofeng at the Juanshui Food Market on the morning of August 12, 2019. Ms. Hua was taken to the county police department. The officers broke into her home at noon, and arrested Ms. Hua’s husband Mr. Wang Xinqing. Ms. Hua was released that afternoon.

14. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Nan Tianju Detained

Ms. Nan Tianju from the Hengdian Neighborhood, Huangpi District, was arrested and her home was ransacked on August 11, 2019. She was held in the Erzhigou Women’s Detention Center for 15 days.

15. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wu Yuehong and Ms. Xing Xiaoqing Held in Custody

Ms. Wu Yuehong and Ms. Xing Xiaoqing were videotaped while talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of August 10, 2019. They were arrested by officers from the Dingwangtai Police Station, Furong District.

Officers led by Li Yi, director of the Dingwangtai Police Station, went to Ms. Wu’s home and ransacked the place on the afternoon of August 12. They confiscated a computer, printed materials, and copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.

On the same day, the officers went to Ms. Xing’s husband’s workplace and harassed him. The officers also ransacked Ms. Xing’s home.

Ms. Wu and Ms. Xing are being held in the Wangcheng County Detention Center.

16. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhuang Yugui and Ms. Zheng Huiqin were arrested by officers from the Nanxing Police Station, Jiguan District, for talking to people about Falun Gong near Jixi University on the afternoon of August 9, 2019. They were held in the Jixi City No. 2 Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Shuzhi was arrested and taken to the detention center after she mailed letters that contained information about Falun Gong on August 3, 2019. She was taken to the detention center. She walked out with righteous thoughts on August 8.

Ms. Liu Huilian was arrested at a checkpoint near the Dalian Airport on August 6, 2019.
