(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces，where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Meili Arrested
Ms. Wang Meili from the Jinzhou Development Zone was arrested at work by officers from the Development Zone Police Department and Jinshitan Police Station on the afternoon of June 28, 2019. Police ransacked her home and workplace at the Xinxing Photo Studio in Dengshahe Town. They confiscated her Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a cell phone, and her husband’s medical cards.
Ms. Wang was released later that evening.

2. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Jinsheng and Mr. Li Wensong’s Cases Turned Over to Procuratorate
Mr. Zhang Jinsheng was arrested in Beijing on May 29, 2019. Mr. Li Wensong was arrested at work on the same day. Both practitioners were taken to the Meihekou City Detention Center.
The two practitioners’ families went to visit them in late June and learned that the Meihekou Domestic Security Division had turned both practitioners’ cases over to the Meihekou Procuratorate.
Mr. Zhang was officially placed under arrest on July 6. Mr. Li was later released.
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Yuansheng Detained; His Mother's Home Ransacked
Mr. Liu Yuansheng was arrested by railway police at a checkpoint at Kuandian Train Station on July 2, 2019, when they found the book Zhuan Falun in his bag. Mr. Liu’s wife received a phone call from officer Zheng the following day and was told that her husband would be detained for 15 days.
Officers from the Shenyang Railway Police Department, Dandong Domestic Security Subdivision, and Shenyang Domestic Security Division broke into Mr. Liu’s mother’s home and ransacked the residence on the morning of July 4. They confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials, USB flash drives, a computer, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, paper currency with Falun Gong information printed on them, and other personal belongings.

4. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Yuping Detained
Ms. Wang Yuping from the Beichen District was arrested by officers from the Jiarongli Neighborhood Police Station on July 4, 2019, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. Her home was ransacked, and her Falun Gong books and materials were confiscated.
Ms. Wang is being held in the Beichen Detention Center.
5. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Tian Shulan and Mr. Tian Shisheng Detained; Ms. Dong Xiufen’s Home Ransacked
Ms. Tian Shulan and Mr. Tian Shisheng from the Xita area were arrested by officers from the Yuehe Township Police Station on July 3, 2019. They are being held in the No. 1 Detention Center.
The officers also broke into Ms. Dong Xiufen’s home in Xitatou Village and ransacked the place. Ms. Dong was not home at the time.
6. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xie Jilan Detained
Ms. Xie Jilan from Shiliang Town was recently arrested. She is being held in the Zhangjiagou Detention Center.
The police also tried to arrest Ms. Chen Yan but did not succeed.
7. [Huaibin County, Henan Province] Ms. Sun Xingzhi’s Home Ransacked; Three Other Practitioners Arrested
Officer Wang Meng from the Huaibin County Domestic Security Division and two officers from the Gudui Township Police Station broke into Ms. Sun Xingzhi’s home and ransacked the place on the morning of July 6, 2019. They did not find anything incriminating.
The three officers also broke into Mr. Ren Xinglu’s home and ransacked his residence. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and informational materials. Mr. Ren was arrested and detained for five days.
Officers from the Huaibin Domestic Security Division and Dengwan Township Police Station broke into Mr. Geng Xieming’s home and arrested him and his wife Ms. Wang Yuying on July 2. Ms. Wang was released later that day. Mr. Geng was detained.
8. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Jia Huiqin Has a Mental Breakdown Due to Abuse in Prison
Ms. Jia Huiqin, 70, was arrested on March 23, 2016, and sentenced to a one-year prison term by the Runzhou District Court. She was incarcerated in the Nanjing Women’s Prison, where she was tortured. Several of her teeth were knocked out, and she sustained injuries to her body. Cold water was poured over her in the winter.
Ms. Jia had a mental breakdown as a result of persecution.
9. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Liu Qiusheng Arrested
Mr. Liu Qiusheng was arrested by officers from the Sanli Street Police Station on July 2, 2019. His home was ransacked.
10. [Shaoyang County, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhou Qiaofeng Detained
Ms. Zhou Qiaofeng from Tangtianshi Town was arrested on June 28, 2019. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Shaoyang County Detention Center.
