(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 10 provinces，where at least 37 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wan Guirong and Her Son Arrested

Ms. Wan Guirong, who lives on Shengli Street, was arrested by officers from the Tongxing Police Station on the afternoon of June 27, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Five officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books.

Ms. Wan’s son was also arrested, but was later released. Ms. Wan is being held in the Tangchi Detention Center.

2. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Liu Lihua from Yaogou Village, Lingbei Town, was arrested on July 3, 2019. She is being held in the Chaoyang City Detention Center.

Ms. Tang Sulan and her son were arrested by officers from the Mohudian Police Station on their way home on the evening of July 4. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Li Yajun was arrested at home by officers from the Dongcheng Police Station on the morning of July 5.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Xiao Fengwen Arrested

Ms. Xiao Fengwen, in her 50s, was arrested on July 2, 2019, for posting Falun Gong materials.

4. [Tianjin] Four Practitioners Arrested; Several Harassed

Ms. Duan Guifen from the Beichen District was arrested at work by officers from the Beichen Police Department and Beicang Police Station on July 4, 2019.

Ms. Duan’s nephew, Mr. Liu Jie, went to the police station to request her release. He was forcibly taken into custody. Several officers restrained him while they took his photograph, blood samples and fingerprints.

The police took a locksmith to Mr. Liu’s home to unlock the door. They then ransacked the place.

Ms. Duan and Mr. Liu were released that evening.

Mr. Liu Guohua from the Daxinzhuang area in Hexiwu Town and Mr. Chen Yuefei from Dongxichenzhuang Village were arrested at home by officers from the Hexiwu Town Police Station on the morning of July 4. Their residences were ransacked.

Mr. Liu and Mr. Chen were taken to a detention center that evening.

Several other practitioners have been harassed at home by officers from the Xiaodian Town Police Station.

5. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Over 30 Practitioners Arrested

About 300 Zunhua City police officers arrested over 30 practitioners on July 6, 2019. Among those arrested were: Ms. Sheng Jinling, Mr. Sui Jinming, Mr. Wang Jian, Mr. Wang Kun, and Mr. Tian Shuxue.

6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Jin’ai Sentenced to Prison

Shijiazhuang City resident Ms. Zhao Jin’ai went to stay with her son in Beijing to help take care of her grandson. She was arrested by officers from the Niujie Police Station in the Xicheng District on July 24, 2017, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong.

Her case was passed to the Xicheng District Procuratorate on July 26, 2018. Ms. Zhao was tried by the Xicheng Court on June 12, 2019, and sentenced to an 18-month prison term with two years probation and fined 3,000 yuan.

7. [Yu County, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested; Ms. Fan Yuqing on Hunger Strike

Ms. Fan Yuqing, a male practitioner and three other female practitioners were arrested by Director Liu and other officers from the Beishuiquan Town Police Station on June 29, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. They were taken to the police station. Wang Lijun and five other domestic security officers later transferred them to the domestic security division.

The male practitioner was taken to the Yu County Detention Center for five days the following afternoon. The other three female practitioners were taken to the Zhangjiakou Detention Center for five days, but two of them were released for failing the physical exam.

Ms. Fan was taken to the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center for 15 days. She has been on hunger strike since her arrest.

8. [Zouping City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Cuifang and Her Husband Arrested

Officers from the Zouping City Domestic Security Division and the Jiaoqiao Town Police Station broke into Ms. Zhang Cuifang’s home and arrested her and her non-practitioner husband on the morning of May 30, 2019. Ms. Zhang’s husband was released later that day. Ms. Zhang’s situation is unknown.

9. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Nini Detained

Ms. Zhang Nini was arrested by the Longkou City police on the afternoon of July 3, 2019. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Yantai City Detention Center.

10. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Junlan and Ms. Wen Ailian Detained

Ms. Wang Junlan and Ms. Wen Ailian from the Shengli Oilfield Oil Production Plant were arrested on July 3, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Chenzhuang Town Farmers' Market. They are being held in the Dongying City Detention Center.

11. [Neihuang County, Henan Province] Ms. Fang Caiyun Arrested

Ms. Fang Caiyun, in her 50s, from Xizhanglong Village, Zhanglong Township, was arrested at home on the afternoon of June 28, 2019. The police confiscated photos of the founder of the Falun Gong and Falun Gong books.

12. [Shandong] Mr. Li Fujun Detained

Mr. Li Fujun, from Sheshan Town in the Songjiang District, was arrested on his way to work by plainclothes officers and the railroad transportation police on the morning of July 4, 2019. His home was ransacked.

Mr. Li is being held in the Shanghai No. 2 Detention Center.

13. [Xinyi City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Kong Xiangcai Arrested

Ms. Kong Xiangcai, 63, was arrested on June 28, 2019, for distributing Falun Gong materials.

14. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Zhu Shengli Detained

Mr. Zhu Shengli from the Lianxi District was arrested on July 1, 2019. The police and security guards at Nongmin Apartment in Xingang Town ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books.

Mr. Zhu is being held in the Jiujiang City Detention Center.

15. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Hu Yongjun Detained

Mr. Hu Yongjun, in his 30s, from the Jianshexincun Residential Community in the Jiang’an District, was taken to the Community Residential Committee by a group of people on the evening of July 5, 2019.

Mr. Hu is now being held in a detention center.

16. [Jianli County, Hubei Province] Ms. Su Aiping Detained

Ms. Su Aiping was taken to the Jianli County Detention Center.

17. [Li County, Hunan Province] Mr. Zeng Xiaolin Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Zeng Xiaolin from Fuxingchang Town was arrested by officers from the Li County Domestic Security Division on July 1, 2019. He was taken to the Changde City Brainwashing Center.

18. [Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Yu Haohui Arrested

Two plainclothes officers snatched Mr. Yu Haohui’s apartment keys from his wife as she was taking her son to school on the morning of July 3, 2019. A group of officers then went upstairs to Mr. Yu’s home and arrested him. A notebook computer and several USB flash drives were confiscated.

Mr. Yu was taken to the Nan’an Police Station in the Gaoyao District.

19. [Langzhong City, Sichuan Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Many practitioners were arrested at home by officers from the Domestic Security and the local police stations in the early morning of July 5, 2019. The practitioners’ homes were ransacked, and tablets, USB flash drives, notebook computers, desktop computers, paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them, Falun Gong books, and other personal belongings were confiscated.

Ms. Zhao Mulan, Ms. An Shuhua, Ms. Yang Guifang, and her sister Ms. Yang Xiaoxue were among those who were arrested that day.

Ms. Yang Guifang and Ms. Yang Xiaoxue were taken to the Nanchong City Brainwashing Center.

20. [Neijiang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Yungao’s Home Ransacked

Mr. Yang Yungao, in his 60s, had his home ransacked by the political head of the Haozikou Police Station in the Shizhong District and two other officers. Two computers, two cell phones, and other personal belongings were confiscated.
