(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

Ms. Lu Guanru and Ms. Liu Enquan are due to tried at the Ranghulu District Court on the morning of June 6, 2019.

2. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ren Yuhong Facing Trial

Ms. Ren Yuhong was arrested by officers from the Longnan Police Department on November 9, 2018. She was released on bail on February 26, 2019, due to her poor health.

Ms. Ren is due to be tried in the Ranghulu Court on June 3.

3. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Jianying Taken to Prison

Officers from the Dehui City Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Liu Jianying on July 15, 2018, while she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Dehui Detention Center.

Ms. Liu's health deteriorated as a result of the abuse she suffered in custody. She was not able to stand up or eat. The court sentenced her to a two-and-a-half-year prison term in March, 2019, without informing her family, which is required by law.

Ms. Liu is being held in the Changchun Women's Prison.

4. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Er Ying's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Er Ying from the Jiangbei District was arrested on May 16, 2019. Officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, Falun Gong printouts, and other personal belongings. Her whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhao Changfu Persecuted in Prison

Mr. Zhao Changfu was arrested on August 22, 2018, and was taken to the Lingyuan City Detention Center. He is in poor health due to the persecution.

When his relatives visited him in the detention center, they noticed that he was so weak that four people had to carry him.

6. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Shumin Arrested, Mr. Liu Songshan Forced to Leave Home

Ms. Wang Shumin from the Ninghe District has been held in the Ninghe Detention Center for 40 days. Officials from the Procuratorate issued an arrest warrant for her on May 24, 2019.

Mr. Liu Songshan, Ms. Wang's husband, was also arrested. After his release, he was repeatedly harassed by the police. He was forced to leave home to avoid further harassment.

7. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners' Cases Sent to Procuratorate

Ms. Bian Yanjuan, Ms. Zheng Yanmei, and Ms. Li Yuemian from Beiying Village, Mazhuang Township were arrested. Their families learned on the afternoon of May 30, 2019, that their cases had been sent to the Anping Procuratorate.

8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. He Lifang in Critical Condition

Ms. He Lifang was arrested on May 5, 2019, by the director of the Beian Police Station, who pretended to help with her ID application. She has been held in the Pudong Detention Center.

Ms. He is force-fed daily, and has lost bladder and bowel control. She is in critical condition.

Ms. He was charged by prosecutor Li Yan, from the Jimo District Procuratorate, on May 23.

9. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Arrested

Ms. Song from Weihai City was reported to the police on the morning of May 31, 2019, when she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was arrested and taken to the Qiaotou Police Station in Rongcheng City.

10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Ou Yang Taken to Hospital

Ms. Ou Yang, 73, from the Jiangan District, was arrested on March 20, 2019. She was taken to the Wuhan No. 1 Detention Center, where she was severely abused. Her health has deteriorated, and she has been taken to the Ankang Hospital.

11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Shuangwu Detained

Ms. Zhou Shuangwu, 70, was arrested by officers from the Jinyinhu Police Station on the morning of April 18, 2019. Her home was ransacked and two computers, a DVD burner, Falun Gong books, and a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong were confiscated.

Ms. Zhou is being held in the Dongxihu No. 1 Detention Center.

12. [Songming County, Yunnan Province] Mr. Dong Mingxian's Home Ransacked

Mr. Dong Mingxian, from Dongbei Street in the Songyang Community, had his home broken into by eight officers from the Songyang Police Station on May 30, 2019. His residence was ransacked.
