Letting My Customers Know That Falun Dafa Is Good

(Minghui.org) I was fortunate to discover Falun Dafa in April 1998 but didn’t really become a practitioner until later because of the persecution. In our area, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was arresting adherents everywhere and it was awful. I was really fearful. With the help of fellow practitioners, I began to cultivate again in 2005. Below are some of the ways I've changed since.

I am in the business of selling and repairing pumps. Before I learned Falun Dafa, I always tried to make the most money I could on a job and seldom made concessions. For example, if I had to repair a submersible pump and only the bearing and the seal were damaged, I charged for the whole assembly even though the other parts were fine. I didn’t consider my customers at all.

Since I truly began Dafa cultivation, I have fundamentally changed. First, I am no longer competitive. For example, when a customer buys a pump, I tell them about the many types of pumps and their different uses. I also go over which types are non-standard and of lower quality.

One time, a customer needed a submersible pump and chose one that he was satisfied with. A few months later he came back and complained that the pump was no good and of poor quality. He even swore at me. I was not upset and said, “Bring your pump in and let me see where the problem is.”

I inspected it and found that the impeller was blocked by mud, which caused the pump to not operate properly. The customer said that he'd put the pump deep in the well and that there was a lot of sediment on the bottom. I said that the pump was made to pump water only and that he should have kept it off the bottom. I explained that it got clogged because he'd used it more like a sewage pump. I patiently cleaned out the sand that was stuck in the impeller and reinstalled it.

He was very happy and said, “Your service is excellent. I will visit you again in the future and introduce you to other customers. I just had a bad attitude because I didn't use it properly and that caused the breakdown. I am sorry to have troubled you.”

I told him, “I practice Falun Dafa. Master Li asks us to follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and consider others in every situation.”

I also told him how wonderful Falun Dafa is and explained the importance of quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. I told him to remember “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” so he would be blessed. He nodded in agreement and left. I was really happy that he learned the truth.

Some people like to compare prices before they buy. One day three people came in asking about submersible pumps. Because it was the first time they'd ever bought a pump, they asked me to describe all the pumps and their prices. Then they said, “Your neighbor is also selling pumps. We will go and see whose is more suitable.”

“Okay,” I said, “thanks for coming in.” At that time, I thought of Master Li's words.

“We cultivators always let things happen naturally. If something is yours, nobody will take it away, and if something isn’t yours, you won’t be able to get it even by fighting for it.”(The Seventh Talk, Zhuan Falun)

My heart was calm and I didn't think much about it. After a while, they came back, saying that the other person’s merchandise was not practical. They bought one of my submersible pumps, saying, “What you said is true, and it made sense, so we will listen to you.”

I told them that I practice Falun Gong and am taught to think of others first in whatever I do. They were very moved and thanked me

I added, “You should thank our teacher, Master Li, who teaches us to be good.” Then I helped them quit the CCP.

My whole family is in business. My husband is mainly responsible for negotiating, deliveries, and receiving goods. Every day, I deal with submersible pumps, motors, etc. In addition to selling pumps, I have to repair them. It’s a dirty job and tiring. My back is sore, and my legs hurt after a day’s work.

Sometimes customers comment that I am very competent. When I am asked how old I am, I tell them that I will be 60 next year. They say, “At your age, you are still so capable. People your age usually won’t do such work. Their health won't allow it.”

I said, “I practice Falun Dafa and it was my master who removed my physical illnesses and purified my body. I am very grateful to him.”

I then explained the truth about Dafa, that the Tiananmen Square self-immolation was fake, and that quitting the CCP would bring them peace. I also mentioned that more than 300 million people have already withdrawn their memberships from the CCP. These people usually agree to quit at this point.

In the future, I will study the Fa more, help save more people, work harder to do the three things, and honor my vows to return to my original home with Master.
