Additional Persecution News from China – May 11, 2019 (9 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces，where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Yuanping City, Shanxi Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Lan Jinli was arrested by officers from the Nancheng District Police Station on April 26, 2019.

Several practitioners were arrested when they were studying the Falun Gong teachings at Mr. Zhang Guoping's home on the morning of May 6. Their homes were ransacked.

Mr. Jin Hai'en, from Sunjiazhuang Village, Zhongyang Township, was arrested at home by Guo Zhihong, head of the Yuanping City Domestic Security Division, and officers from the Zhongyang Township Police Station on May 10. A computer, printer, and other personal belongings were confiscated.

2. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Facing Trial

Ms. Pan Yanyan, Ms. Pan Rongqing, and Ms. Ma Yuzhen were arrested on September 15, 2017. They have been held in the Yantai City No. 1 Detention Center for over one and a half years.

They are due to be tried by the Laishan District No. 1 Court on the morning of May 17, 2019.

3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Haijun Seriously Ill in Prison

Mr. Zhao Haijun from the Shuangcheng District is seriously ill in the Hulan Prison as a result of abuse. The prison officials prepared medical parole paperwork, and were ready to release him, but Yu Jianmin, head of the Correction Section in the Shuangcheng District Judicial Bureau, has blocked it.

4. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qin Yaling Arrested

Ms. Qin Yaling from the Gongchangling District was arrested by officers from the Xiaotun Police Station on May 7, 2019, when she was distributing Falun Gong materials. Her home was ransacked, and Falun Dafa books and banners were confiscated.

5. [Tianjin] Ms. Shao Shuwen Detained

Ms. Shao Shuwen, 60, from the Beichen District, was arrested on April 24, 2019, when she was distributing Falun Gong materials. She was taken to the Guoyuan New Village Police Station.

Officers from the police station and the Domestic Security Division ransacked her home the following morning, and confiscated two computers, a printer, and materials.

Ms. Shao is being held in the Beichen Detention Center.

6. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. You Wensheng Intercepted

Mr. You Wensheng, from Beidu Village in the Yongnian District, was intercepted by officers from the Mingguan Police Station on a bus from Handan City to Beijing on April 24, 2019. He was prevented from going to Beijing.

7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. He Lifang Detained

Ms. He Lifang was arrested by officers from the Bei'an Police Station in the Jimo District when she was applying for her ID card on May 5, 2019. She is being held in the Pudong Detention Center.

8. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Aiqin Arrested

Ms. Sun Aiqin was surrounded by officers from the Dongxin Police Station outside her home on the afternoon of May 7, 2019. The officers forced her to open the door. They ransacked her residence, and confiscated Falun Dafa books, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

Ms. Sun was taken to the police station, and released later that evening.

9. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Zhao Kai Sentenced to a Four-Year Prison Term

Ms. Zhao Kai, 68, was arrested by officers from the Taiyuan City Railway Police Department on February 14, 2018. She was recently sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Wanbailin District Court.

Ms. Zhao has appealed to the Taiyuan Intermediate Court.
