(Minghui.org) “If we are not moved by people's suffering, if we do not wake up and fight against the evil, if we've become so removed from righteousness, then what is the meaning of our lives? I declare that I have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. I step away from evil and hope for a new and better life."
This “Quitting the Party” statement was posted by “Chi Wupeng,” a Chinese man, on the Epoch Times website on January 10, 2019.
The Chinese people are awakening. To date, 328 million Chinese people have announced their withdrawal from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations on the Epoch Times website. The following are some of their upright statements.
On January 8, a police officer used the pseudonym of "Xueli" and posted the following statement: "I'm a police officer. In the beginning I followed the regime's policy of persecuting Falun Gong. But then I saw how cruel the persecution is and I realized it has no legal basis. I could no longer take being part of it. But I couldn't do anything about it. I began calling in sick every day, and I finally resigned with the excuse of being sick.
“Today, a Falun Gong practitioner told me what this persecution really is about. I now completely understand. This is a great evil that Jiang Zemin (the former CCP head that launched the persecution) initiated to destroy people. The Chinese were deceived by the Party's slander. I resolutely withdraw from all the CCP organizations I joined."
Zhang Xiaomei is a police officer from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. In her statement on November 11, 2018, she said: "I've known several Falun Gong practitioners, all of them are so kind. All the government officials that I know are corrupt. It’s the culture of the Communist Party that has turned good people bad, and bad people even worse. The Party officials are no different than thugs. The CCP is the biggest evil. Persecuting good people is evil. The Chinese people will not enjoy happiness or peace until the CCP is no more. I withdraw from this evil Communist Party."
On October 10 last year, Beijing resident Jing Caijun said in a statement: "I served in the military. My family's property, houses, fields, and other properties were seized by the CCP in 1949. More than forty people in my family were persecuted by the CCP. In 1999, the military had us participate in a training about fighting against Falun Gong. I know firsthand the evil history of the CCP, and how they persecute Falun Gong. I withdraw from the Communist Young Pioneers and the Communist Youth League."
He Miao from Nanjing said in a statement on October 7 last year: "Today, I played Ping Pong with my 70-year-old colleague, who is healthy and kind. We all know that she has practiced Falun Gong for 22 years and has not taken medicine for all these years. Although she was detained for handing out Falun Gong materials, she never gave up the practice. I declare that I withdraw my membership from the Young Pioneers and the Communist Youth League organizations."
Moved by the kindness of Falun Gong practitioners, many people decided to withdraw from the CCP.
On August 3 last year, a person using the pseudonym "Conscience of Heaven and Earth" said: "I am a leader of a magazine published nationwide. I was fortunate enough to hear about the “Quitting the Party” movement during a business trip. I admire Falun Gong practitioners, who are brave and hold onto their belief in 'Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.' They are so brave to say no to the evils of the CCP.
“In mainland China, there is a lack of belief and morality. It is terrible. People can't see any future or hope for China. I feel that the “Quitting the Party” movement is a very great thing. It is great that Falun Gong practitioners are trying to restore mankind's traditional culture and virtues that have been destroyed by the CCP. I hereby declare that I will withdraw from the CCP."
Zheng Cailian from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, said in a statement on January 3 this year: "Today a Falun Gong practitioner told me that practicing Falun Gong helps one to become healthy. I asked if he was afraid of the persecution. He said, 'I'm not afraid. Falun Gong saved my life. I hope that all Chinese can benefit from it and be happy and healthy.' This deeply touched me.
“I suddenly understood the truth. He was saying, 'Because I have benefited, I hope others can too.' That is the compassion and kindness of Falun Gong practitioners. The evil CCP does not want people to be happy. For example, the Party officials want to be wealthy, but they don't want anyone else to have money. Corrupt officials are everywhere, searching for ways to make themselves wealthy. The Party officials want to be healthy, so they enjoy the best food. But the food that the common people eat contains pesticides and fertilizers, are toxic and harmful, and have carcinogenic substances such as growth hormones.
“As a Buddhist I realized that the CCP destroys traditional culture and is also destroying the Chinese people's health. I solemnly declare that I quit the CCP."
On December 26, 2018, Wen Zhilian from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, wrote: "I'm a small business owner and I've witnessed how corrupt the CCP is. The director of the District Taxation Bureau collected money from the guests at his son's wedding. He had a large envelope full of cash.
“The central government's anti-corruption campaign is just their way of sustaining the corrupt political system. There are no clean or upright officials in China. The regime's tyranny is fierce. There's one Falun Gong practitioner in my company, who is the best employee, but has been repeatedly persecuted. The persecution of good people in China has killed the goodness of the Chinese people; it also stifled Chinese people's motivation to work hard and own businesses. It is the sorrow of the Chinese people and the sorrow of the world that the CCP is ruling China. I sincerely withdraw from the evil CCP!"
