(Minghui.org) I live in Boai County in Henan Province. My wife, Liu Ruanping, is a Falun Gong practitioner. I witnessed the whole process of her illegal arrest by the domestic security officers.

When my wife came home at around 1:00 p.m. on November 20, 2018, two people suddenly followed her inside.

“You must be Liu Ruanping,” one of them stated.

After my wife answered him, he said in an authoritative tone, “We are from the domestic security division. We want to talk to you about your involvement with Falun Gong.”

“Okay. Falun Gong teaches people to be good. I always follow the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be a good person,” my wife replied with a smile.

“Then give us what we want,” he ordered. “We have a search warrant.”

He then called four people over. One of them waved a piece of paper, claiming it was a search warrant, but refused to show it to us. They ransacked our three-story house, not leaving a single corner untouched. Yet, all they found was a copy of Zhuan Falun, the main text of Falun Gong, and five other Falun Gong-related books. They also confiscated my son's notebook computer, four old cell phones, and my wife's electric scooter.

I was shocked and horrified! I could not believe that the police could act like bandits, arbitrarily taking people's personal belongings. I did not try to stop them, for fear of being accused of obstructing official business.

I was even more horrified that they arrested my wife after they had turned our house upside down. I asked them why they were arresting my wife, but they ignored me and pushed her into a police car.

It was the darkest day of my life. My neighbors were also perplexed and could not understand the police.

The police eventually delivered a “detention warrant” to me the next day and said that my wife was taken to the Jiaozuo City Detention Center. The arrest warrant, however, was not sent to us until December 6, 2018.
