Columbus, Ohio: Falun Dafa Welcomed in University Homecoming Parade
(Minghui.org) A crisp breeze welcomed Autumn during Ohio State University's Homecoming Parade on October 4, 2019. Over 100 student societies participated in the annual event. Entries included flower-decorated floats, dance groups, and marching bands. Several students and their parents came out to watch the popular parade.
The Falun Dafa Student Association was invited to participate and introduced Falun Dafa and its guiding principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Young practitioners held banners and walked in the parade. Another practitioner distributed informational brochures.
Ohio State University is one of the largest in the American midwest with more than 3,000 Chinese students. Before the parade kicked off, many of them noticed the banners about Falun Dafa. During the parade several Chinese students saw the practitioners' entry and discussed it among themselves. Although they might be afraid to accept the information, they witnessed practicing Falun Dafa is legal in the U.S. and many students openly practice it.
Many people applauded and cheered the Falun Dafa entry.
