(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 6 were illegally arrested.

1. [Hailar City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Mr. Dong Zhenjia Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Dong Zhenjia, 76, from Zalantun City, was arrested on June 2, 2017. He was taken to the local police station and released on bail later that day.
Mr. Dong was sentenced to an 18-month prison term on December 11, 2018. He was taken to the city detention center on January 3, 2019.
2. [Suzhou City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhou Yanyu Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Zhou Yanyu from Si County was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term on December 25, 2018. She is being held in the Suzhou Detention Center and has appealed her sentence.
3. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Mr. Lu Gang and Ms. Cai Yun Held in Prison
Mr. Lu Gang and Ms. Cai Yun, from Guangzong County, are being held in Jidong Prison.
4. [Tianjin] Ms. Huang Lixiang Arrested
Ms. Huang Lixiang was arrested in October 2018.
5. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Guo Xin, Mr. Liu Jingchun, Mr. Mi Tiekui, and Mr. Shao Jianguo were arrested at Ms. Guo's home by officers from the Chengde City Police Department and Shuangqiao Domestic Security Division on the morning of January 11, 2019. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated four printers, two CD/DVD burners, three notebook computers, and Falun Dafa books.
Ms. Guo, Mr. Liu, and Mr. Mi were released later that afternoon, while Mr. Shao was placed in criminal detention.
6. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Shupei Facing Trial
Ms. Wang Shupei, from the Fushan District in Yantai City, is set to be tried by Zhaoyuan Court on the morning of January 17, 2019.
7. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Han Chengli Detained
Ms. Han Chengli, 61, from the Shashi District, was arrested at her home by officers from the Shashi Police Department on December 8, 2018. The officers also ransacked her home.
Ms. Han is being held in the Shashi Detention Center. No family visits have been allowed.

8. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners’ Arrests Approved
Mr. Gao Hongwei, Mr. Wang Zizhong, Ms. Zhang Aili, and Ms. Shang Zhaoxiang were arrested on November 24, 2018. They were placed in criminal detention, and their arrests have now been approved.
9. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xia Deyun Facing Trial
Ms. Xia Deyun was arrested by officers from the Binhai Police Department on April 21, 2018, while she saw her parents off at a train station. She was held for over 40 days before being transferred to a detention center.
Ms. Xia is set to be tried by the Dongying District Court on January 21, 2019.
10. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Chengfang Taken to Prison; Mr. Deng Daoheng Detained
Ms. Li Chengfang from Dazhu County was arrested on December 9, 2016. She was sentenced to three years in prison and is incarcerated in Longquanyi Women's Prison in Chengdu.
Mr. Deng Daoheng from Kaijiang County was arrested on January 13, 2018, and is being held in Kaijiang Detention Center.
11. [Beijing] Ms. Yang's Whereabouts Unknown
Ms. Yang, from Pinggu District in Beijing, was arrested on January 10, 2019. Her whereabouts are unknown.
