(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 were illegally arrested.

Ms. Sun Qian, a Canadian citizen, was tried by the Wenyuhe Court, Chaoyang District, Beijing, on the morning of September 12, 2018.

Ms. Zhang Hua was recently tried by the Rongcheng City Court.

3. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Shi Bin, Ms. Liu Jinhua, Ms. Xie Huili, Mr. Liu Sitang, and Mr. Liu's wife Ms. Zhang Huiqing were arrested and taken to the Tianqiao Police Department by officers from the Sangzidian Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Sangzidian Town farmers market, Tianqiao District, on September 5, 2018. The officers ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials, among other items. Mr. Liu, 75, was released that evening. The other practitioners were held in the Jinan Police Department.

4. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Shumin Arrested

Officers from the Jinling Town Police Station broke into Ms. Liu Shumin's home and arrested her on the morning of September 6, 2018. They ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and other personal belongings.

5. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yan Xuefen Detained

Ms. Yan Xuefen, from Lingshang Village, Biguo Town, was arrested by Wang Yucheng, head of the Zhaoyuan City Domestic Security Division, and officers from the Biguo Town Police Station on September 6, 2018. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Yantai City Detention Center.

6. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Xinrong and Mr. Chen Shouchang Detained

Mr. Wang Xinrong and Mr. Chen Shouchang from Zhangxing Town were transferred to the Yantai City Detention Center.

Mr. Xu Yongqing from Shanghai will be tried by the Hanjiang District Court, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, on the morning of September 18, 2018.

9. [Pingquan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Yulan Arrested

Ms. Liu Yulan from Qijiadai Township was arrested by officers from the Pingquan Town Police Station for telling people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of September 2, 2018. Her home was ransacked. She was released the following morning.

10. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhou Dunwu Detained

Mr. Zhou Dunwu was arrested at work on August 24, 2018. He was held in the Macheng City No. 2 Detention Center for 15 day. His cell phone was confiscated.

11. [Tianjin] Ms. Feng Junling Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison

Ms. Feng Junling and Ms. Gao Lijuan from the Binhai New Area were arrested on December 28, 2017. Ms. Feng was recently sentenced to a 10-year-prison term by the Binhai New Area Court.

Ms. Gao's case was not accepted by the Binhai New Area Procuratorate. The Shengli Police Station and the Dagang District Domestic Security Division again filed her case at the New Area Procuratorate Court, in an attempt to sentence her to 12 to 14 years in prison.

12. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Ge Qingchun Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Ge Qingchun was arrested on July 1, 2012. She was sentenced to four years in prison by the Chengguan District Court without a hearing in September 2013. She was held in the Lanzhou Prison. She should have been released on June 30, 2016. Over six years have passed since her arrest. Her whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Jianping County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Guo Hao Detained

Mr. Guo Hao was arrested at home by officers from the Chengxi Police Station on the morning of August 23, 2018. He was taken to a detention center.

14. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Deng Huiling and Ms. Liu Ruimei Detained

Ms. Deng Huiling and Ms. Liu Ruimei were arrested on August 23, 2018. They were taken to the Jinzhou City Women's Detention Center.

15. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Guo Hongwei and Ms. Wu Arrested

Mr. Guo Hongwei and Ms. Wu, from Qinghemen District, were arrested by officers from the Zhizhushan Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of September 6, 2018. Both practitioners were taken to the Zhizhushan Police Station.

16. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Lin Arrested

Ms. Li Lin from Nan'an District was arrested by officers from the Yuzhong District Police Station on the afternoon of September 7, 2018. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a printer, and Falun Gong books.

17. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xiao Yanping Detained and Ms. Liao Jun's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Xiao Yanping and Ms. Liao Jun were reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on August 23, 2018. Ms. Xiao was arrested. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, informational materials, a computer, and a printer. She was taken to the Hantai Detention Center. Ms. Liao's whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Bian Changxue, from Shilituo Village, Sanshuitou Town, is detained in the No. 3 Ward, Jidong No. 1 Prison. He has been tortured, and currently weighs only 70 pounds.
