Additional Persecution News from China – June 21, 2018 (17 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 were illegally arrested.

1. [Xiong County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Chengwu Mistreated in Detention Center

Mr. Li Chengwu has been held in the Xiong County Detention Center for over 50 days. No one is allowed to visit him. Mr. Li went on a hunger strike recently. He was force-fed, and his physical condition has deteriorated.

2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Weihong and Ms. Liu Detained

Mr. Liu Weihong was arrested by officers from the Huanghe Police Station in the Guanggu District on the afternoon of May 24, 2018. They confiscated his Falun Dafa books. Mr. Liu was taken to the Shenyang City Detention Center. He displayed severe hyperglycemia symptoms during the physical exam.

Ms. Liu was also arrested that same day. She was taken to the Shenyang City Detention Center.

3. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Hengfeng Arrested

Mr. Liu Hengfeng, in his 60s, was arrested by Tai'anlu Police Station officers on May 27, 2018. He was released and has returned to Qingdao City, where he works.

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yu Xishan Detained

Mr. Yu Xishan from Qiyi Village, Qingling Township, Shuangcheng City, was arrested by officers from the Qingling Police Station on the morning of June 1, 2018. He was taken to Shuangcheng City.

5. [Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Li Shaogui and Ms. Liu Baozhen Abused in Prison

Mr. Li Shaogui, 74, from the Guangfeng District, is being held in the No. 12 Ward, Yuzhang Prison. He was held in solitary confinement three times for refusing to be “transformed.” The longest time was for four months.

Ms. Liu Baozhen is being held in the Jiangxi Province Women's Prison. She has been poorly treated and is now very thin. The Yuehu District Court in Yingtan City sentenced her to three-and-a-half years in August 2016.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhou Hongxu Detained

Mr. Zhou Hongxu from the Xigang District was arrested by Zhongshan Park Police Station officers on the evening of June 15, 2018, for distributing Falun Gong materials. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Dafa books, and materials. He was taken to the Yaojia Detention Center the following evening.

7. [Chengdu City Sichuan Province] Mr. Mo Shanyi Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Mo Shanyi was sentenced to three-and-a-half-years in prison in the Qingyang District Court on June 19, 2018.

Ms. Zhao Xiulan from Mian County was arrested by officers from the Chengxi Police Station at noon on June 20, 2018.

Ms. Yang Zhongbi, 67, was arrested by Kaixuanlu Police Station officers on the morning of June 15, 2018, for distributing Falun Gong materials.

10. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chu Lianping Arrested

Ms. Chu Lianping was arrested on the afternoon of June 8, 2018. Her computer and printer were confiscated.

11. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Shi Chunxian Detained

Ms. Shi Chunxian from Anlu City was arrested at her rented home by Chen Xudong from the Anlu City Domestic Security Division and others on the morning of June 11, 2018. She is being held in the Anlu Detention Center.

12. [Dongning City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Xingping and Wife Ms. Lu Meixiang Arrested

Mr. Zhang Xingping, 72, and his wife Ms. Lu Meixiang from Suiyang Town were arrested by Beihan Border Police Station officers in Suifenhe City for talking to people about Falun Gong in Honghualing Village, Suifenhe City. Ms. Lu was held in the police station. Mr. Zhang was taken to a hospital for health reasons. He was monitored by guards in the hospital.

Mr. Wang Renqian was arrested by Xishan District Domestic Security Division officers on March 10, 2018. He is being held in the Xishan District Detention Center.

14. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gong Liying and Ms. Yan Yulan Detained

Ms. Gong Liying and Ms. Yan Yulan from the Caofeidian District were arrested on June 17, 2018. They are being held in the Luannan County Detention Center.

Eleven practitioners from Xiazhuang Town were arrested by officers from the Xiazhuang Town Police Station on May 19, 2018. They each had 5,000 yuan extorted from before they were released. They are: Ms. Xu Jinying, Ms. Li Xiuzhen, Ms. Zhou Yuling, Ms. Zhang Meiqin, Ms. Xu Xianmei, Ms. Du Guixia, Ms. Du's husband, Mr. Du Qihai, Mr. Du's wife, Mr. Liu Wenming, and Mr. Liu's wife. The officers confiscated Falun Dafa books, MP3 players, and 2,000 yuan in cash.

16. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zu Chao and His Wife Ms. Liu Ruiyu Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zu Chao and his wife Ms. Liu Ruiyu from Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, were sentenced to prison in the Yuyao City Court in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, on the morning of June 21, 2018.
