Two Sisters from Tumen City Detained in Changchun Prison
(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Chi Suling and her sister Ms. Chi Suqin from Tumen City were arrested on July 2, 2018 by officers from the Tumen City Domestic Security Division and the Shixian Town Police Station.
Their family was told by the Tumen City Domestic Security Division that they were taken to Changchun Prison on July 3, despite the fact that they were known to have high blood pressure.
2017: Indicted, Tried, and Released Due to High Blood Pressure
Ms. Chi Suling and her sister Ms. Chi Suqin received an indictment notice from the Tumen City Procuratorate on July 21, 2017. They were informed, without any explanation, to go to the Shixian Town Police Station on December 26, 2017.
On arrival at the police station, they were taken by a courthouse vehicle to the courthouse. They were immediately put on trial and sentenced to three years in prison.
They were taken from the courthouse to Yanji Hospital for a physical examination in preparation for their detention. But the Yanji Detention Center refused to accept them due to high blood pressure. Thus, they were released.
2016: Arrests and Subsequent Releases Due to High Blood Pressure
Police from Shixian Town, Tumen City, broke into many Falun Gong practitioners' homes and arrested three practitioners, including Ms. Chi Suling, on the evening of October 31, 2016. She was released that evening.
On June 27, 2016, Ms. Chi Suling visited her sister-in-law and niece who were detained in the Jilin City Detention Center for practicing Falun Gong. On arrival at the Antu Railway Station, two railway police officers arrested her.
She was taken to the Yanji City Railway Public Security Office. In the afternoon, police from the Tumen City Domestic Security Division took her to Yanbian Hospital for a physical checkup.
She was taken to the Yanji City Detention Center which refused to take her because of high blood pressure. She was released that evening.
Ms. Chi Suqin was arrested on January 4, 2016 at her son's home in Tumen City by police from the Tumen City Domestic Security Division. Her son's house was ransacked.
2015: Ransacking, Arrest, and Release
Ms. Chi Suling's rental home in Yanji City was broken into by police at noon on December 17, 2015. Ms. Suling was arrested, her home ransacked, and her Falun Gong books and a cell phone were confiscated. She was released on December 19, 2015.
It was learned that the police first went to her home in Shixian Town, but did not find her. Then, they returned between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. They broke into and ransacked the home while no one was there.
