(Minghui.org) A 70-year-old man suddenly died in prison, and his body was returned to his hometown without an autopsy. The cause of his death remains to be uncovered.
Mr. Wang Shixian, a resident of Youyan County, was arrested on March 20, 2015 while distributing materials exposing the Chinese communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Mr. Wang was sentenced to 7 years in prison shortly after his court appearance on July 6, 2015. He was ordered to serve time at Dabei Prison in Shenyang City.
The prison authorities returned Mr. Wang's body to his hometown in February 2018. Mr. Wang's three daughters questioned the authorities as to how their father, who was a healthy man who had lived alone without assistance, died mysteriously within less than three years of his arrest. To date, they haven't received any response from the prison.
