1. [Tianjin] Ms. Ma Shuhua and Her Husband Arrested
Ms. Ma Shuhua and her husband, from the Hongqiao District, were arrested on the morning of April 27, 2018. The police ransacked their home and confiscated about 40 Falun Gong books, three cell phones, a laptop, and other personal belongings.
Ms. Ma’s husband was taken to the Shaogongzhuang Police Station. The police searched him, took a blood sample, and released him seven hours later.
Ms. Ma was taken to the Hongqiao District Detention Center. When her lawyer met her on May 3, 2018, Ms. Ma was in poor health, and she had to be held up by two people during the meeting. The guards asked that Ms. Ma’s family bring her medication the following day.

Ms. Gong Shiyun was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong at the bus station on Hongqi Street on April 29, 2018. She was taken to the Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center.
4. [Beijing] Mr. Yan Shumin's Whereabouts Unknown
Mr. Yan Shumin was arrested on April 24, 2018. His whereabouts are unknown.
5. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Wang Shaoping, her husband Mr. Zhou Zhencai, and Ms. Jing Fenglan were tried in the Changli County Court on March 27, 2018.
Ms. Wang and Mr. Zhou were each sentenced to an 18-month prison term and fined 5,000 yuan. Ms. Jing was sentenced to a 21-month prison term and fined 7,000 yuan.
6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Placed Under Criminal Detention
Ms. Zhang Dexiu, her daughter Ms. Gao Mingxia, and Ms. Liu Chuan, from the Licang District, were arrested on the morning of May 5, 2018. Their homes were ransacked.
The three practitioners were placed under criminal detention in the Pudong Detention Center.
7. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Arrested
Ms. Yang was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong in Ershilipu Town on May 6, 2018.
8. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Sun Aixia Taken to Prison
Ms. Sun Aixia, 80, from the Suzhou Industrial Park District, was arrested in October 2017. She was taken to the Suzhou City Detention Center.
Ms. Sun was tried in the Suzhou Industrial Park District Court on January 10, 2018. She was sentenced to an 18-month prison term and taken to the Nantong Women's Prison.
9. [Poyang County, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Cao Hanshui Detained
Mr. Cao Hanshui, from Honghu Village, Raofeng Town, was arrested at his home by officers from the Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of May 5, 2018. He was taken to the Poyang County Detention Center.
10. [Tongcheng County, Hubei Province] Ms. Hong Haihua Detained
Ms. Hong Haihua from Shadui Town was arrested by Zhang Dinger and officers from the Tongcheng County Domestic Security Division on April 4, 2018. She was taken to the Tongcheng No. 1 Detention Center.
11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xia Huanzhen Tortured
Ms. Xia Huanzhen, from the Hengdian Neighborhood, Huangpi District, was arrested by officers from the Shekou Police Station on April 25, 2018. Her home was ransacked.
Ms. Xia was detained, tortured, and then taken to the Ankang Hospital. When her family went to the police station to request her release, the officers there claimed that she faces a prison sentence.
12. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhang Rongcheng Arrested
Mr. Zhang Rongcheng was recently arrested by officers from the Shizishan Police Station, Jinjiang District.
