Macau, Indonesia, and New Zealand: Commemorating the April 25 Demonstration
(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners and supporters around the world took time this past week to remember the April 25 historic peaceful protest in which over 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners gathered in Beijing in 1999.
The protest was to request the release of 45 practitioners unjustly arrested in Tianjin, a city east of Beijing. The arrest was one of several cases of harassment by Chinese authorities that led up to the nationwide persecution that began in July of the same year. The following are reports of commemorative events in Macau, Indonesia, and New Zealand.
