Additional Persecution News from China – January 30, 2018 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 3 provinces. According to this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 3 were illegally arrested.

1. [Shanghai] Mr. Xu Jianxin Detained

Mr. Xu Jianxin from Qibao Town was arrested by officers from the Changqiao Police Station on January 26, 2018. He is held in the Xuhui Detention Center. This is the sixteenth time he has been arrested since 1999.

2. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Xiangyun Detained

Ms. Li Xiangyun from Wukeshu Town was arrested at home on January 24, 2018. She is held in the Yushu City Detention Center.

3. [Tianjin] Mr. Cui Yanqing and Mr. Yang Yunxiang Arrested

Mr. Cui Yanqing from the Beiyuan Residential Community, Dagang Oilfield, was arrested by Xu Jianguo, an officer from the Dagang Domestic Security Division, and officers from the Haibin Police Station on the morning of December 28, 2017.

At the same time, Mr. Yang Yunxiang from the West Lane of Beiyuan Residential Community, was also arrested. The officers confiscated two computers, three printers, over 10 cell phones, and over 20,000 yuan in cash.

Both practitioners are held in the Binhai New Area No. 3 Detention Center.

4. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guixia Given a Three-Year Prison Term

It was reported recently that Ms. Liu Guixia from the Development Zone was given a three-year prison term by the Huangdao District Court. She was taken to the Shandong Women's Prison on January 9, 2018.

Ms. Liu was arrested by officers from the Xin'an Police Station on June 6, 2016. She has been held in the Pudong Detention Center.

5. [Beizheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Yachun Arrested

Ms. Chen Yachun from Changxingdian Town was arrested by officers from the Changxingdian Police Station on the afternoon of January 28, 2018. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and New Year's paintings which had information about Falun Gong. She was released that day.

6. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Detained

Mr. Li Weitao, Mr. Guo Shiyou, Mr. Gu Linjie, Mr. Wang Yongsheng, Mr. Tang Xianhe, and Ms. Luo Li were arrested by officers from the Baita District Police Department, the Beitiemen Police Station, and the Weiguolu Police Station on the evening of July 19, 2017 for hanging Falun Gong banners. They are held in the Liaoyang City Detention Center.

Ms. Luo's blood pressure suddenly increased to more than 230 while she was in the detention center. Her family paid money to have released on medical parole. The other practitioners are still detained.

7. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Ying and Ms. Li Su'e Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Yu Ying and Ms. Li Su'e were each given a three-year prison term by the Tiedong District Court on December 4, 2017. Both practitioners appealed.
