Additional Persecution News from China – December 12, 2018 (8 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 3 were illegally arrested.

1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Duan Xueqin Detained

Ms. Duan Xueqin is being held in the Bairin Right Banner Detention Center.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Xiaohong and Ms. Xu Guizhi Detained

Ms. Wang Xiaohong from Xiejia Township in Yushu City was arrested on November 29, 2018. She is being held for 15 days of detention.

Ms. Xu Guizhi from Yushu was arrested on December 6, and her home was ransacked. She is also being held for 15 days of detention.

3. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Shuxiang Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhang Shuxiang, 81, who lives in the family quarters of Tianjin University in the Nankai District, was sentenced to a four-year prison term. She appealed, but is incarcerated in the No. 2 Ward of Liyuantou Women's Prison.

Ms. Zhang has lost sight in her left eye, and the vision in her right eye has deteriorated due to being mistreated in prison. She suffers from myocardial ischemia, her face is swollen, and she is physically weak.

4. [Tianjin] Mr. Yu Boqun Detained

Mr. Yu Boqun, from Wangbuzhuang Town in the Baodi District, was arrested at home by six or seven officers from the Wangbuzhuang Police Station on the afternoon of December 10, 2018. He is being held in the Baodi Detention Center for ten days.

5. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Xinghe and His Wife Ms. Feng Yuelan Arrested

Mr. Zhang Xinghe and his wife Ms. Feng Yuelan, from Dawenkou Town in the Daiyue District, were arrested when distributing Falun Gong desktop calendars on December 6, 2018. Officers from the Dawenkou Town Police Station ransacked their home.

6. [Jincheng City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Guo Guoping Passes Away Due to Persecution

Ms. Guo Guoping was sentenced to a three-year prison term in April 2013, and incarcerated in the Shanxi Women's Prison. She returned home on December 8, 2015. However, due to intense pressure of the persecution Ms. Guo passed away on the afternoon of September 5, 2018, at the age of 64.

7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Mao Huilan Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Mao Huilan, in her 70s, from the Hanyang District, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison by the Hanyang Court in November 2018. She is incarcerated in the Hankou Women's Prison on Baofeng Road.

8. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Lixuan Missing for 15 Years

Ms. Zhao Lixuan went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong around 2003, and has not been seen since. She was around 32 years old at the time. Her son was only one year old, and is now 16.
