Additional Persecution News from China – December 7, 2019 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 8 were illegally arrested.

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Guiqin and Ms. Wang Lijia were arrested by Tuanjie Police Station officers in the Jiutai District on December 4, 2018, for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Wang was released that night. Ms. Li was taken to a detention center.

Ms. Han Xiaozhen and Ms. Xin from Yushu City were arrested on December 5, 2018.

Ms. Guo Wenjuan is being held at the Baodi Detention Center.

3. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Ruohan and Ms. Yan Zhenfen Arrested

Ms. Liu Ruohan, a teacher at Jixianli Elementary School, was arrested on December 4, 2018. Details are unknown.

Ms. Yan Zhenfen, 67, from the Dongli District was arrested by officers from the Wanxinjie Police Station on December 1, 2018, when she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They ransacked her home and held her in the Xinli Village Detention Center for 12 days.

4. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Junqing's Case Sent To Procuratorate

Ms. Li Junqing, 65, was arrested at home by 12 officers from the Xuchang City Development Zone Police Department on the morning of October 17, 2018. The police ransacked her home and took her to the Xuchang City Detention Center. An arrest warrant was issued a week later. Ms. Li is still being held in the Xuchang Detention Center. Her case was submitted to the Weidu District Procuratorate in early November.

5. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Meiying Detained

Ms. Gao Meiying from Xishishuitou Village in Jiangtuan Town was arrested by agents from the Laiyang 610 Office on November 29, 2018. They ransacked her home, seized her computers and printers, and took her to a detention center. Ms. Gao was later transferred to the Fushan Detention Center in Yantai City.

6. [Huidong County, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Imprisoned

The Huidong County Court upheld the sentences of Mr. Liu Qingqiang, Ms. Zhou Yuqin, and Ms. Shi Xuemei. The three practitioners were taken to prison.

Mr. Liu was admitted to Beijiang Prison in Shaoguan City on November 20, 2018. Ms. Zhou and Ms. Shi were admitted to the Guangzhou City Women's Prison on November 22, 2018.

7. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Additional News on Four Arrested Practitioners

Ms. Jia Lina, 70; Ms. Dong Shuxia, 70; Ms. Zhang Yuhua, 63; and Mr. Xu Jie were reported to police on the afternoon of June 7, 2018, when they were putting up Falun Gong information around Caibeixincun in Dongfeng Township in the Xihu District. Officers from the Dongfeng Police Station and the Xihu District Domestic Security Division arrested them and ransacked their homes. Ms. Zhang and Ms. Jia have been formally arrested and are being held at the Benxi City Detention Center. Their cases were submitted to the Procuratorate.

8. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Shi Xiuzhen Sentenced to 18 Months in Prison

Ms. Shi Xiuzhen was reported when she was posting Falun Gong fliers on the afternoon of May 18, 2018. The Tiedong District Court tried Ms. Shi on November 23, 2018, and sentenced her to 18 months in prison on November 26, 2018.

9. [Xian City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Ding Hong Arrested

Ms. Ding Hong was arrested on December 5, 2018.

10. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ren Rujie Detained

Ms. Ren Rujie from the Nangang District was arrested by officers from the Harbin City Railroad Public Security Department on November 9, 2018. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to a detention center. She fled during the physical exam but was arrested again on or around November 27. She is being held in the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center.
