Additional Persecution News from China – October 30, 2018 (Part II, 7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 4 were illegally arrested.

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Detained
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Li Arrested
3. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
4. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ge Yanzhi Arrested
5. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yanying Arrested
6. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Shiying Arrested
7. [Dengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhou Hongyu Detained

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Jin Yan, Ms. Wang Hongyan, Ms. Che Pingping, and Mr. Chen Yanhua were transferred from the Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center to the Yushu City Detention Center on October 19, 2018.

Ms. Wang, Ms. Che, and Ms. Jin were forced to wear “strait jackets”. Ms. Wang and Ms. Jin were also forcibly fed and injected with unknown drugs. Ms. Wang was once forcibly injected with high-concentrated salt with unknown drugs. Ms. Che developed retinal detachment in her right eye and lost her eyesight due to the persecution.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Li Arrested

Ms. Xu Li was handcuffed and arrested at home by four or five officers from the Dalian City Police Department on October 28, 2018. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, and paper bills which had Falun Gong messages on them.

3. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Chuanwen, Ms. Yang Xiufang, Mr. Ding Guozhu, and Ms. Xu Junying were arrested by officers from the Aojiabao Town Police Station on June 21, 2018, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to Qingyuan County Police Department and then held at the Fushun City Detention Center where they were beaten by prisoners.

4. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ge Yanzhi Arrested

Ms. Ge Yanzhi, in her 70s, and another female practitioner, in her 80s, were arrested by officers from the Liucun Police Station on October 29, 2018, for distributing calendars which had information about the persecution of Falun Gong.

5. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yanying Arrested

Ms. Li Yanying, in her 70s, was arrested at home by officers from the Economic Development Zone Police Station on October 25, 2018. The police confiscated many of her Falun Gong books. She was released that evening. The police also harassed another elderly practitioner Ms. Sun Yulan, who lives in another village.

6. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Shiying Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shiying was arrested by two plainclothes officers from the Muyudian Town Police Station on October 25, 2018. She was released that day.

7. [Dengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhou Hongyu Detained

Ms. Zhou Hongyu was held at a detention center.
