(Minghui.org) Ms. Yang Peixia, 73, is now facing indictment after the police submitted her case to the procuratorate, following her arrest for practicing Falun Gong on October 12, 2018.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a mind-body self-improvement system persecuted by the communist regime since 1999.
The police ransacked her residence and confiscated her Falun Gong books and other related materials before sending the 73-year-old woman to Changchun No.4 Detention Center.
Ms. Yang has been repeatedly arrested, detained and tortured in the past 19 years for not giving up her faith.
The police once shocked her with an electric baton until the battery ran out. They recharged the battery and continued to shock her until she passed out. Another guard with boots on kicked her, slapped her, and punched her in the fact, knocking out her front teeth.
She was traumatized both physically and mentally each time she was released from detention. Her spine had deformed, and she had difficulty walking. Her loss of many teeth also affected her ability to eat.
