A New Year’s Gift

(Minghui.org) On New Year’s Eve this year, my wife and I were flying back home from another city where we were visiting family. The weather was extremely cold, so our flight was delayed repeatedly. We took the extra time to rest, study, and send righteous thoughts.

When we finally got on the flight, I ended up seated beside a Chinese woman, who quickly put on a pair of large headphones and got absorbed in an episode of a popular TV show on her iPad. I usually try to speak with people sitting beside me and clarify the facts, but her isolation made that difficult.

We ended up landing just moments before midnight, and the flight attendants put the audio of the New York Times Square New Year’s celebration on the plane’s speakers.

The audio stopped when the flight attendants needed to run the security procedures to unlock the doors. As we got up, preparing to leave the plane, the woman beside me unplugged from her electronics, and wished me a Happy New Year. This opened the door for me to talk to her about Falun Dafa.

As we were about to leave the plane, the time was exactly right to tell her how Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) had saved my life, and to clarify the facts about the persecution. It turned out that I was the first Falun Dafa practitioner that she had ever met. She was genuinely grateful for learning the facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution. She had previously heard only the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) propaganda about Dafa, and did not know what to think, but after hearing the facts from a Dafa practitioner, she realized that Falun Dafa is good and that it is being maligned by the CCP.

The encounter ended at around 12:10 a.m., and we exited the plane to go home. Over the next 12 hours, numerous other perfectly arranged truth-clarification opportunities presented themselves.

I feel this incredible gratitude towards Master Li (the founder of Falun Dafa) for giving us this perfectly arranged opportunity to clarify the facts and enlighten people. I believe that this event portends 2018 to be full of magical, grand opportunities to awaken sentient beings.

The plane was delayed the perfect amount of time, and my encounter with this Chinese woman was intricately and perfectly arranged. This was a hint that everything is pre-arranged, however chaotic things may have appeared. With righteous thoughts and a light heart the woman was pulled out of her isolation in electronic media, and within moments her heart was singing with joy after learning the facts.

In my understanding, this is a hint that while everyday people may be “in their own little worlds,” not realizing that on the surface they are here to be awakened, they are actually waiting for Dafa. With faith and righteous thoughts, practitioners can reach their true hearts and save them.
