Additional Persecution News from China – September 4, 2017 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 27 were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Mr. Qin Wei Imprisoned

Mr. Qin Wei is imprisoned at No. 8 Ward of Beijing No. 2 Prison, where he was taken on August 17, 2017.

2. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cheng Shufang Persecuted

Ms. Cheng Shufang was arrested and taken to Jilin Province Women's Prison on April 19, 2017. While detained, she was not allowed to wash or use the toilet.

She had difficulty speaking after two people forcibly shoved her head into a bucket filled with water. Ms. Cheng was also forced to sit on a stool edge for long periods.

3. [Tianjin] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Bai Fengling was arrested by officers, including Zhang and Tian Chunyu, from Wangpuzhung Town Police Station on September 1, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Ma Guiying, who witnessed the arrest and argued with the officers, was also arrested.

Ms. Bai was placed in detention; Ms. Ma was released later that day.

4. [Weinan City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Yang Xuehong and Her Mother Arrested

Ms. Yang Xuehong and her mother from Ningxia City, were arrested at Weinan City, Shaanxi Province on September 3, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Dali County Police Department.

5. [Jiaxiang County, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Chunai and Ms. Liu Aiping Detained

Ms. Liu Chunai and Ms. Liu Aiping were arrested by officers from the Hetaoyuan Police Station on August 27, 2017, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Liu Aiping was taken to the police station, while Ms. Liu Chunai escaped.

Ms. Liu Chunai was then apprehended two days later.

Both are held at Heze City Detention Center.

6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Shuqian and Ms. Xue Yufen Arrested

Ms. Yu Shuqian, 81, and Ms. Xue Yufen, 55, were arrested and taken to the Laishan Town Police Station on September 1, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

7. [Haiyang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xin Hongli Detained

Mr. Xin Hongli, arrested on August 21, 2017, was detained for 15 days.

8. [Kaiping City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhang Jieyan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Jieyan was arrested at home by officers from the Kaiping Domestic Security Division and the Changsha Police Station on July 12, 2017. She remains in detention.

9. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Yuxiang Detained

Ms. Wang Yuxiang, recently arrested by officers from Gaochun District, is currently held at the Nanjing Detention Center.

10. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Di Jianxin and Her Husband Harassed

Ms. Di Jianxin and her husband were recently harassed by officer Gao Yongyi from the Hezuolu Police Station. On September 1, 2017, Gao then arrested Ms. Di and took her to the police station.

Gao searched Ms. Di's belongings and conducted a body search. She was then forced to have her fingerprints taken, photographed, and her blood was drawn for a DNA test. In addition, Gao threatened her with long-term detention. She was released an hour later.

11. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Hongwei Detained

Mr. Wang Hongwei was arrested at work by officers from Yuzhou City Domestic Security on August 26, 2017. He is currently held at the Yuzhou City Detention Center.

12. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yukun Arrested

Ms. Liu Yukun was arrested and her home ransacked by officers from the Xinbin County Domestic Security Division on August 24, 2017. She was taken to the Nangou Detention Center.

13. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Twelve Practitioners Arrested and Detained

Twelve practitioners were arrested by officers from Harbin City and the Yilan Police Department on August 31, 2017. They are Ms. Zhang Jiuhui, Ms. Shi Rongxian, Ms. Zhao Guiqin, Ms. Pang Shuxian, Ms. Yao Yulian, Ms. Shi Laowu, Mr. Tang Lifei, Ms. Deng Shumei, Ms. Yu Fenglan, Mr. Li You, Mr. Tian Hongwei, and Mr. Tian Xiaolong. The police also confiscated computers and Falun Gong books.

The female practitioners were taken to the Yaziquan Detention Center, and the male ones to the Yilan County Detention Center.

Several practitioners, including Mr. Dai Qihong and Ms. Zhao Qun, were arrested on September 1, 2017, when they went to the local police department to ask for the release of detained practitioners.
