Breaking Through Mental Barriers to Reach People's Hearts
(Minghui.org) I live in Northeast China, and I'm 63 years old. I used to clarify the truth by using auto-dial recordings, but when I checked the logs, I found that many people wanted to talk and kept asking, "Can you hear me?" When they realized it was a recording, they hung up. I regretted that I wasn't there to talk to them and felt bad about missing the opportunity to save them.
I realized that I should talk to people directly over the phone; other practitioners encouraged me to do this too. But many thoughts popped up, such as I cannot use my own phone because my voice could be identified. So I didn't try it.
Master said, “Dafa disciples are the sole hope for people's salvation.” (“The Only Hope” from Hong Yin III)
When I examined myself, I saw that I was being selfish. How could I save people like this? I was determined to break through my mental barriers. After other practitioners explained how to do it, I started clarifying the truth with my cell phone.
I was so nervous the first time that, as soon as the other person answered the phone, I could not breathe. I forgot what I had prepared to say and just started talking. That person did not agree to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) or its affiliated organizations.
After hanging up, I didn't immediately make the next call. I calmed myself down and asked Master to strengthen my righteous thoughts and wisdom. I then made the second and third call. Gradually, I relaxed. Within three hours on that first day, I advised six people to quit the Party and its affiliated organizations. I knew that Master was encouraging me!
Talking to people is also an opportunity for us to improve in cultivation. Now I can talk to strangers as if I have known them for a long time. Because I sincerely wish to help save them, they can feel that I have their best interests in mind.
I have talked to all kinds of people. Some thanked me after understanding the truth and quitting the Party, while others swore or threatened to report me. I was not moved because I knew that they behaved this way because they had been deceived by the CCP.
One day, a middle-aged man picked up the phone. After listening to what I had to say, he asked, “Why do you care about other people?”
I said, “My friend, if we were walking, and I knew there was a trap in front us, but you couldn't see it, shouldn't I warn you about it?”
He said, “Of course I would want you to tell me!”
I said, “That's what I'm doing. Just like warning you to avoid a trap you're about to fall into, I'm telling you to quit the Party and its affiliated organizations so that you won't be implicated when people who are associated with the party have to pay for its crimes.”
We continued talking for more than 30 minutes. He then agreed to quit the Party and thanked me repeatedly.
From my experience, I feel that when we make auto-dial phone calls but don't get to talk to people and answer their questions, they may lose their opportunity to be saved. We must do well and help save more people in the limited time remaining!
