(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhen Shulan, 77, was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Daqing Police Department on June 8, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Sartu District Bus Terminal in Daqing City. She was then taken to the Daqing City Detention Center.

Officers from the Xinjian Police Station, located in the Ang'angxi District of Qiqihar, brought Ms. Zhen to Ang'angxi District on June 9, and held her in the Bilin Hotel. Two police officers and an official from the neighborhood administration office guarded the elderly Ms. Zhen. The four agents framed her by falsifying documents pertaining to her case.

It was reported recently that Ms. Zhen was held in the Ang'angxi District People's Hospital. The two police officers and the official continued to guard her, inflicting mental and physical suffering on her.

Before this arrest, the Ang'angxi police officers repeatedly harassed Ms. Zhen at her home and through phone calls. She was forced to leave home to avoid the ongoing harassment. After she left, the police and local officials continued to harass her family and ordered them to find her. They also monitored her family's phones, disrupting everyone.

Officials in the Chinese Communist Party's Public Security Division, the procuratorate, and court system rushed the fabricated case against the elderly Ms. Zhen through the court in less than two weeks in order to put her behind the bars.

Ms. Zhen's trial was scheduled for June 23, 2017. The section head of the Criminal Justice Division, whose surname is Yang, in the Ang'angxi District Procuratorate, Office claimed that Ms. Zhen would be sentenced to five years or less in prison. Her case was pending with the Procuratorate when this article was submitted.
