Thirty Falun Gong Practitioners Still Held in Fushun Detention Center
(Minghui.org) The Fushun Detention Center, also known as the Nangou Detention Center, is located in Nangou, Wanghua District. The center has been used to hold and torture Falun Gong practitioners since the persecution began over 17 years ago.
By the end of 2016, 30 Falun Gong practitioners were still held in the Fushun Detention Center.
Twenty-four of the practitioners are from Fushun City, including Xu Guirong, Jiang Shunai, Liu Fengjuan, Hu Fengqiu, Li Yanrong, Qin Zengyun, Zhang Guiping, Li Gang, Pan Fude, Li Mingyun, Lu Qing, Dong Weirong, Peng Jie, Liu Fengling, Zhao Jing, Hao Lizhong, Li Lizhen, Zhang Wenqing, Meng Xiu’e, Li Yuhuan, Kong Fanxiao, Sun Shuhua, Chen Yanyu, and Bao Wenzhang.
Four practitioners are from Qingyuan County, including Zhang Shouhui, Jin Fengzhi, Xu Ping, and Sun Guojun.
Two practitioners are from Xinbin County. They are Liu Zhengrong and Sun Jing.
Ms. Peng Jie and Ms. Liu Fengling from Fushun are in their 70s and both suffer from heart disease. Due to the ongoing torture and poor living conditions in detention, their old illnesses relapsed in 2016.
Ms. Liu was hospitalized in the Chinese Medicine Hospital. She developed cardiac failure and severe diabetes. She was in so much pain that she could not lie down. However, the detention center still refused to release her.
