Additional Persecution News from China – December 18, 2017 (9 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 6 were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Huiying Arrested

Ms. Zhang Huiying, 68, was arrested and taken to Chaoyang Detention Center in May 2017. Her home was ransacked. No one knows about her situation.

2. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Guifang Arrested

Ms. Wang Guifang was arrested by officers from the Jiarongli Police Station on July 7, 2017.

3. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Gao Yongtai Arrested

Mr. Gao Yongtai was arrested on December 15, 2017, when he went to Xuanhua District Court. He is currently held at the Xuanhua District Detention Center and his arrest was approved.

4. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guihuan Sentence Upheld

Ms. Zhang Guihuan's sentence of two-year prison term was upheld by the Huludao Intermediate Court.

5. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yu Chenghai Detained

Mr. Yu Chenghai was arrested and had his home ransacked by officers from the Hetoudian Police Station in November 2017. He was detained for 15 days.

6. [Yichuan County, Henan Province] Ms. Jiao Runxia and Mr. Wei Shequn Arrested

Ms. Jiao Runxia, 58, and Mr. Wei Shequn, 63, were arrested by officers from the Minggao Town Police Station on December 7, 2017, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to a detention center.

7. [Shanghai] Ms. Qin Yuexiu Detained

Ms. Qin Yuexiu was arrested by officers from the Changzheng Police Station and the Domestic Security Division of the Putuo Police Department on August 10, 2017. She is currently held at the Putuo District Detention Center. Her case was sent to a court on November 30.

Ms. Shen Yuanxiu, 60, was arrested and taken to the Fenglieshan Detention Center on December 14, 2017.

9. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Xiuzhi Detained

Ms. Wang Xiuzhi was arrested by officers from the Xinli Town Police Station on December 14, 2017. She is currently held at the Yushu City Detention Center.
